Newly renovated Dutchies Beachside Retreat is a two bedroom older style unit situated in a stunning location overlooking the beach with private access to beach and waterside pathways from your garden.

This unit is amazing. It is clean, incredibly well-equipped and has a stunning view. There is direct access to the path to the beach, and to a walking/riding path into Nelson Bay. It is a one minute walk to Dutchies' Beach, and a five minute walk to the Nelson Bay marina. The unit is airy, and designed to maximise the view displaying the beauty of the bay.

We stayed in this unit for three nights and found it as described and beautifully presented.The furnishings were modern and comfortable and everything was in good working order. So good to get up and enjoy that wonderful view of the water. Easy access to the beach, the walking path and Nelson Bay shops meant a stroll to dinner and the selection of eating spots was a nightly event. Owners were helpful and very easy to deal with. We will be back as soon as we can!!!

We stayed at this unit for a week in late Jan 2013. It is clean, all items worked, great location, great views. I would strongly recommended the unit. I think the review below must relate to the motel near this unit as it does not relate to the unit we stayed in. We have stayed at this unit for many years and have always found it to be very good.

We have stayed here on a prior visit for a weekend and decided to spend our festive/New Year break here as well. We had such a great family holiday ( we have two little ones). Everything is so close - the beach, the shops, good walking/exercise areas, playgrounds etc. Unit is very clean and has so much more in it than most fully furnished units do. Believe me - I'm reluctant to post this rave review simply because I don't want anybody else to know about it! Will be coming back in a heartbeat!

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend and I must say that the place is immaculate! and is well equipped!
In such a beautiful location it is VERY close to the centre of Nelson Bay and close enough to all activities that Port Stephens has to offer!
With such competitive rates I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time! :)

My husband and I came for a weekend away and even though it rained whilst we were there, we had a lovely stay at this apartment. It had everything we needed and, most importantly, it's clean! It's also within walking distance from Dutchies Beach which I love and the view from the balcony is beautiful. The owners were very professional and prompt. We've found a place to stay at Nelson Bay.
