The Beach House Culburra has been nicknamed a haven by the visitors, and rightfully so. This 80’s style Australian Beach House oozes tranquility and peace, right from its magnificent 180 deg view of the ocean in the lounge, through the cozy and comfortable handmade furniture, all the way to the fenced green lawn in the backyard. It is an ideal retreat for families with children and pets, especially dogs, as it is equipped with everything needed to make this holiday not only tranquil but fun as well.
As the house sleeps 8 people, it can also be the right place for a group of friends , who are looking to spend a couple of days catching the waves on the same beach break where the world champion surfers Owen, Tyler and Mikey Wright first started to surf & have be guests at the house - see photos with their dog.
THE HOUSE
From the moment you walk in and look at the view you know you are on holiday. The clear, blue ocean stretches right to your back door, inviting you to take a stroll with your kids and dog, down to the sandy beach, where you can soak up the magnificent views of the dolphins and whales, while your kids have fun making sandcastles and your dog enjoys running around freely.
LOUNGE
With the very first step that you take into the lounge, you feel the tension slipping through your fingers and calmness overcoming, as the view of the ocean is magnificent and the handmade furniture is cozy and more than comfortable. You can sit back, watch a film, read a book or simply gaze at the waves and listen to the birds.
BEDROOMS
You will enjoy staying in the main bedroom, lying in the queen bed, while you are listening to the waves crashing on the shore and watching the light playing with the colour of the ocean, changing it from purple into pink and then lightly blue.
There are two more bedrooms, one that has a double and bunk bed, which your kids will love, and the other has a queen bed. All the rooms are quite specious, light and airy and they all have IPOD Docks for iPhones & I PADS.
KITCHEN & BBQ
Equipped with all the appliances and utensils, from full oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher to serving plates and cookware, this funky retro kitchen has everything you need to make perfect meals. Overlooking the ocean, you cannot help but be inspired to try and cook some of the most delicious dishes you have ever made. Gather your family around at the table with a homemade meal and spend some quality time together, talking and enjoying the food. Alternatively, there is a barbecue in the backyard, ideal for you to spend time outdoors, even when you are cooking.
GARDEN
You will enjoy sitting on a deck chair, or lying on a sun bed, overlooking the ocean, while your children are playing in the garden, or on the beach. They will also be thrilled playing in the wooden boat in the back yard.
YOUR PET
You can relax and enjoy your day, knowing that your dog is safe and sound. Our garden is fully fenced, so you can let your dog run around the garden freely. The beach is also dog friendly after 4 pm, so you can take your dog for a walk and let him chase the birds and splash around in the water. The dogs can spend their time in the ‘beach kennel and bed’ or inside the house on their own bedding. And in the case, you forgot your lead, there is always a spare one in the house.

We have taken our time to design Eco and Information Guides of all the hidden places of natural areas and wildlife that you will have a blast exploring. Visit all the quirky places simply by following our easy-to-use maps and guided trails on your iphone. Take your kids on the Rockpool Discovery Walk, let them play & Explore the rock pools at both ends of the beach. This will surely be a hit with them. Of course, there are also many other walks that you can try, such as the Culburra Beach Sunrise Walk, Lake Woolumboola Walk, the Crookhaven Light House Walk, Culburra Sand Dune Flora and more. Or, you can take them on a discovery trail Culburra, riding bikes together and enjoying the view.
WHALES & DOLPHINS
Look through the lounge window and you will see a postcard picture of a pod of dolphins, jumping and playing with each other, looking blissfully happy. During migration period, from May to December, you can see whales right from the lounge room, crossing the ocean.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
After a bit of relaxation at the house, you can go visit the local lake, stop by a great Cafes and enjoy delicious fresh Oysters from Jim Wildes world famous Oyster Farm at Greenwell Point. For all of you who love golf, five golf courses in the vicinity will be more than enough, whereas all of you who find fishing calm and soothing, there are two boat ramps at the Crook haven Heads for launching. For a night out, the Butter Factory local restaurant is a great place, famous for its modern Australian cuisine.

Situated on the south coast of New South Whales, Culburra Beach is only two and a half hours from Sydney, 3 hours from Canberra, and just 20 mins from Nowra.

BOOKINGS
If you want to stay just for a night, you can book the stay during the weekdays from Sunday to Thursday nights whereas if you want to visit us during the weekends, Friday and Saturday nights, you have to book for two days.
Our price is per whole house. What’s more, we offer a budget-friendly winter special, from Sunday to Thursday, where you can stay for five nights but pay only four and in the process save $225. Have great time and save some money during all days from May to August, not including school and public holidays.
To make your stay comfortable, we have included donnas, blankets & electric blankets in winter. What ’s more, now we offer linen service, for $20.00pp. Alternatively, you can bring your own linen and towels.
Cleaning Fee Applies to bookings $150.00per stay.
This house is ideal for family and friends, but even though we get many requests from people who want to hold their weddings and other functions at the house, we are sorry to say that we cannot accept them.

What a wonderful break we had at this great house. The location is perfect. So relaxing and we were fortunate to see whales every day of our stay. And it was a bonus that we could also share our holiday with our two little dogs who just loved it. The yard is so secure and we could relax without worrying about them. The house was so clean and had everything we needed and the good thing was that when the wind came up you could sit inside and still have that great view of the ocean. You have access straight to the beautiful beach, which was fantastic with my two golden's. The house is really comfortable and has everything you might want or need. We absolutely loved the Beach House at Culburra! But who wouldn't?! with amazing views and private position the home is perfect to find complete relaxation in. I only took one short drive from the property in 7 days (and that was only to go get more oysters!) and I'm usually much more of an energizer bunny! Gardens, rooms and layout suited us perfectly - I loved the retro kitchen with everything you need. Best bits: soo many comfy couches to recline on, the view, the rolling green grass, the sea at your doorstep. Only nuisance was the BBQ as it was temperamental and old, but I'm sure will be replaced soon. you wont be disappointed if you book this one!

I chose the Beach House due to its proximity to the ocean and was not disappointed - it's the best spot in Culburra. We had such a relaxing and comfortable few days there and were thrilled to spot some dolphins on the last morning. It was also amazing to lie in bed and watch the sunrise over the Pacific each morning. Would love to come back some time soon....

I spent 4 glorious days at The Beach House with my little maltese dog. We went for walks along the beach every morning and evening as you just walk out the back gate onto the beach. Culburra Beach certainly is spectactular. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

What a wonderful few days break at a beautiful, PEACEFUL beachside spot. Rain or shine (we experienced both) it was the perfect location. Everything we needed was at hand, Helen's advice was much appreciated and the view, sound of the waves crashing on the shore and birds passing through the garden was lovely. We arrived with rain forecast for all 5 days (raincoats packed!)..and then had 5 days of bliss with sun blazing and surf rolling in. Beach was perfect with great surf directly out the front of the house (two 5 and one 3 year old spent hours building sandcastles and jumping in the water) The house itself was very comfortable with glorious views. It has a large well equipped kitchen and great open plan living. The rock pools at the end of the beach were a hit with the kids and we loved the 'kid friendly front yard'. One of our best holidays ever with the kids, so thank you Helen..we will be back!

What really impressed us was the atention to detail... all the little things that Helen takes care of: popcorn maker, board games, spare gas for the bbq, and a well equipped kitchen!

The view is just astonishing - this place had something for everyone. Our overseas relatives loved the location, our toddlers loved the beach and safe gated garden, and we loved the fact that the home had every comfort you need. A beach house in the true sense. We had never been to Culburra Beach - what a great spot, long stretches of near deserted beaches, it feels like a holiday town from another generation.

What a great beach house for our family. Happy kids means happy parents, we all had a ball. We loved the view and position and the kids loved the beach, boat and huge grassy back yard not to mention the bunks/ladder and T.V in their own room! With an absolutely perfect setting right on the sand dunes of a beautiful beach and the sound of waves crashing in the background it is very difficult not to have a fantastic time at the Beach House! The house is very comfortable and well equipped with everything you will need during your stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer!

We had a fantastic stay here. The house was clean and bright - a great spot for whale and dolphin watching. It was the perfect beach house - the short stroll over the sand dune was easy for our 2 year old. The outside shower was great for washing off before going inside. This house is tooooo relaxing. We've just returned from a great weekend away. Four adults and four children fitted comfortably and we all had our own space to play and relax. The house is beautifully furnished but retains that beachy feel we were looking for. The garden is fabulous and opens directly onto a private path to the beach. Perfect! We saw whales and dolphins and spent hours making sea-shell necklaces with the girls. A decent coffee shop in town was an unexpected bonus. We would love to come back!

Outstanding property with all the comforts of home. It was clean, tidy and fresh and then there's the view/location. We were mesmerised just sitting outside and watching the glass like waves roll in. And the beach is at the back door.
The sunrises and dolphins cruising past were an additional bonus. We have stayed in several holiday homes and this ranks as the best yet! Thanks to the owners for the thought and effort that has gone into making this property such a pleasure to enjoy.

The house is perfectly equipped and beautifully presented to handle all your holiday needs, just walk in unpack and relax. The ability to be at the house and see the kids on their boogie boards at the beach was superb. The backyard was a great size to accommodate all our backyard cricketing and relaxing requirements. Many times we were able to look out the window and watch the dolphins swim past, a thing only possible with a breach front house. I can totally recommend to anyone that a stay at the Beach House makes for a great holiday. Also pay a visit to the Culburra butcher for some great BBQ meat!

We felt right at home the moment we walked through the door. Lovely airy main room and views to die for. And we even saw two pods of dolphins the very first day! We would thoroughly recommend the Beach House for some serious R+R! Great for families too :-) Pretty much everything you could possibly need was thought of and hiding somewhere in one of the cupboards!

What a nice place! If you're thinking of hanging out by the sea, doing as you please, wondering across the dunes to and from the house, then stay here. The view is great. The garden is perfect for relaxing. Eat breakfast outside and enjoy the view of the coast. Good size kitchen for cooking a big meal (lots of cooking stuff available), nice long dining table.

Although the weather was too cold to swim, we still had a good time staying here. THE VIEW IS GREAT, BEACH IS JUST A SHORT WALK AWAY.Kitchen is very well equiped & most important those childrens story book and toys were appreciated.!!. We will miss the view and the sound of the waves that sooth us to sleep! Can't wait to come back when the weather is warmer to swim and try out the fishing at Crookhaven.

The gorgeous views and arrangement of the house was absolutely wonderful - the internet pictures didn't do the place justice!!!!.The very convenient acces to the beach and being able to see it from the house was brilliant!. Daytimes spent looking out to sea, mornings in bed watching the fishing boats and dolphins. Long breakfasts, walks on the beach and late lunches. Fantastic. Then as darkness falls the candles are lit and dinner is enjoyed over a bottle of wine or two.... until it all starts again tomorrow. BLISS.
