Located adjacent to Arakoon State Recreation Park, walking distance to historic Trial Bay Goal, Blue Poles Beach House is only 100m stroll to Trial Bay Beach. The area offers quiet child-friendly beaches, surfing beaches and scenic walking tracks highlighting the unique history of the area.
The South West Rocks area has a fascinating history and many old buildings can still be seen. Smoky Cape was named by Captain Cook in 1770. Trial Bay Gaol, a former public works prison, was first occupied in 1886 and Smoky Cape Lighthouse was opened in 1891. A brochure available from the Visitor Information Centre, "Browse Around South West Rocks", guides visitors on a heritage walk around the village.
Blue Poles is a comfortable architecturally designed open planned holiday house with unique pole and beam construction. This spacious three bedroom house has two full bathrooms, two sunny decks with a gas BBQ and plenty of undercover parking. The house is well furnished with all the expected modcons. A level walking/cycle path will take you into South West Rocks where you can enjoy the cafes, restaurants, and Country Club. Visit the iconic Seabreeze Hotel and indulge in a cleansing ale or two after a day on the beach.
Also in South West Rocks there is an 18 hole golf course and tennis courts; squash courts, boat ramps, 25 m pool, dive shops, boat hire, river cruises; bike, boogie board, catamaran and sailboard hire.
Known for its outstanding fishing, South West Rocks offers rock/beach/creek/river/estuary/deep sea fishing in addition to diving, sailing, heritage and bushwalking, whale watching, cycle path & miles of gorgeous white sandy beaches.
