Description

Twinstar Guesthouse & Observatory provides clean, comfortable and affordable B&B accommodation. It features beautiful gardens, undercover parking and complimentary tour of the night sky with a telescope from the in-house observatory. Tariffs include continental breakfast and a night sky tour. Dinner is also available on request ($15 pp, 24 hour pre booking required). Breakfast is provided on the night before and dinner is delivered to guest rooms at 19:00. There is no communal or dining lounge where guests can have meals together.

The Guesthouse is located 20km south of Stanthorpe, Qld or 40km north of Tenterfield, NSW on the New England Highway and close to 4 national parks (only 15 min drive to Girraween NP) and wineries.

Night Sky Tour

Our guided tour of the night sky introduces guests to the beauty of the heavens by using a large telescope (46cm reflector). The tour is conducted in a personal and friendly atmosphere, as no more than 6 guests are allowed in the dome. The tour starts around 20:30 lasting for about 1 hour and it is complimentary activity for our guests.

Guest Rooms

There are 3 guest rooms all with ensuite. All rooms are equipped with a reverse cycle air-conditioner, 60cm flat screen LCD digital TV, DVD, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee/tea making facilities, basic cutlery, iron, walk-in wardrobe and own entrance. Wireless broadband internet is available ($5 per hour). There is no family room. A family of 4 is required to take 2 rooms. The bed configuration is as follows;

Room 1: a queen and a single bed
Room 2: a queen and a single bed
Room 3: a queen bed
