Venus Bay is a delightful coastal resort bordered on one side by the Bass Strait and on the other by Anderson Inlet. It offers 5 surf beaches and mile after mile of glorious white sand beach with boating and fishing popular on the Inlet. Wilsons Promontory National Park is just under an hours' drive away whilst Cape Liptrap National Park is on your doorstep. The village of Venus Bay includes a well equiped general store, several take-ways/restaurants (licenced), a hairdresser and local speciality stores. Tarwin Lower, a few kilometres away, has a thriving local pub (which offers free transport to and from Venus Bay on request). The close by regional centers of Inverloch, Wonthaggi and Leongatha offer a variety of attractions.

The House

Ocean Retreat is a new home completed spring 2005 close to everything (and in the First Estate) in the centre of Venus Bay.

This home has a relaxed, comfortable feel - just unpack and enjoy the rural setting and the roar of the ocean over the dunes. Forget the car and stroll 5 minutes down the road to the village shops or over the sand dunes to the beach (patrolled through peak season).

The house offers double storey living with an open plan living area upstairs that extends onto a huge north facing deck which is private and roomy. The house is equipped with: reverse cycle air-conditioning; electric cooking; gas BBQ; two fridges; solid fuel heating; ceiling fans in the master bedrooms (x2) and free standing fans in the bunk rooms; colour TV, DVD and stereo CD player. well equipped modern kitchen.

The spacious bedrooms have heating and electric blankets as well as offering plenty of doonas, pillows and blankets. There are built in robes in all bedrooms. A second TV, with all channel reception, is in the downstairs bedroom.

There are 2 heated bathrooms (one on each level) and a separate WC upstairs; plentiful hot water and an auto washing machine in the separate laundry. There is undercover car parking and large (unfenced) grounds.

Perfect for either summer or winter breaks.

Bring your own linen and towels. Bikes, surf/boogie boards and beach equipment recommended.
