Description

Whats' it like at Howards Hill? Close your eyes and imagine...... the laughter of the kookaburras, the distant neighing of the horses. Be lured to the gazebo on the pituresque dam by the chorus of frogs and birds and enjoy your afternoon refreshments as you watch the sun set - you could be miles from anywhere but it's only minutes to nearby sparkling beaches, premium golf coures and renowned Mornington Peninsula wineries.
Howards Hill is perfect for an intimate couples retreat, a family to relax and unwind with the dog, he is family too!, a group of friends to catch up and reminisce, a business planning meeting away from the office, an intimate wedding setting or to celebrate that very special birthday or anniversary. The two story barn and Howards Hill can cater for all your needs.

The Barn

The Barn boasts a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom which has a gorgeous, deep, claw foot bath to relax in with the complimentary bath oils and hand made soaps or have fun in the enormous play room warmed by a Coonara in winter or you can enjoy the gentle breezes of summer by simply opening the barn doors to the paved BBQ area outside.
This room is complete with a sound system, fuse ball, refectory dining, comfortable lounge chairs and bright fun atmosphere. The two adjoining "stables" are bedrooms offering style and comfort. And that's just downstairs! Upstairs there is another spacious open plan bedroom and living area featuring large flat screen TV, and plump, comfy lounges to admire the great rural views

The Property

Howard's Hill is a 30 acre property set amongst manna gums and ancient grass trees. Greens Bush, part of the Nepean National Park, is practicaly at the back door, ideal for bush walking. Or for guests that would like to trail ride the area, we will accommodate your own horses, or trail rides can be arranged at nearby Ace Hi. Golf courses such as Moonah Links (Australian Open) and The National are just minutes away, as are many of the Peninsula's Wineries, famous for cool climate wines, Pinot and Chardonnay. Beautiful beaches for surfing, fishing or swimming are all within a short drive.

  • "All family members, two and four-legged, had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable time at Howard's Hill and will stay there again next time we are in the area. Our labrador Emma and cat Wink settled in very quickly. It's a beautiful area, close to Rye and Sorento. The converted barn was warm and cosy and the rural nature of the property meant that we could let Emma out without being on a lead. She loved this and particularly liked playing in the horse troughs."

  • "The property had everything you would need for a weekend or longer away. The renovated barn is brilliant and comfortably sleeps 6 or more. You need only to take yourself, your friends/family and enjoy. The property is beautifully maintained and hosts are extremely welcoming as are their pets. Highly recommended - will not disappoint."
