Nestled by the riverside and just a short walk to the beach, Riverview Gardens Bed & Breakfast is quality accommodation in a lovely old refubished Edwardian cottage overlooking the Hunter River at Stockton, ideally located for you perfect getaway.
Riverview Gardens Bed & Breakfast is a traditional home stay establishment where we have retained an old fashioned, country atmosphere to compliment Stockton's leisured pace and warm friendliness.
Your hosts, Beverley & Ron extend a warm old-fashioned welcome with freshly made scones on arrival, clean comfortable accommodation with reverse cycle air conditioning. Your cooked breakfast is served in our lovely dining room with an old fashioned fire burning in the winter.
We have two beautiful & spacious queen rooms available. The Blue Room is suitable for one couple with a queen bed and its own ensuite with a shower over a hip bath. Robyn's Suite can accommodate up to five guests with a queen bed and a single trundle in the bedroom, a double sofa bed in the sitting room and a full bathroom with a large bath and separate shower. All beds have electric blankets with separate controls for each sleeping position.
A free barbecue is available for guests use and a laundry service (fee) is available for your convenience. Our guests lounge room is very comfortable and is equiped withTV, DVD, Video and Hi Fi system. Broadband internet connection is available to guests who have their own laptop. Tea and coffee making facilities, chilled filtered water and home baked biscuits are available for you at all times.
We have plenty of safe on street parking, and if you have a motorcycle or bicycle we will store it in our garage for safety.

At your doorstep is wide open spaces with a walking and cycle path which prove popular with picnicers, surfers, birdwatchers, cyclists, sports enthusiasts and fisher folk alike.
Stockton is at the southern end of the Newcastle Bight which boasts amazingly huge sand dunes. Four wheel drive tours can be arranged for you to explore and enjoy the dunes doing some sand-boarding. Our beach is 21kms long and Stockton has a patrolled swimming area and a heated pool.
As well as our beautiful surf beach, you can enjoy a game of lawn bowls, tennis or perhaps golf at the renowned Newcastle Golf Club.
Within 5 minutes you can walk to clubs or hotels where great meals are available. If you would like to venture a little further with no traffic or parking problems, a very popular 3 minute ferry ride will take you to Newcastle's CBD and famous Queen's Wharf and Honeysuckle areas where you can enjoy fine dining. A short distance from the wharf are movie and live theatres for your entertainment as well as shopping and weekend markets.

Holiday makers also enjoy Stockton's close proximity to the Hunter Valley vineyards and we are next door to beautiful Port Stephens. There are many varied activites to keep you occupied, or have total relaxation. The choice is yours. Cruises on the harbour are very popular in the warmer weather. On request, we can arrange sand dune activities, harbour cruises and dolphin and/or whale watching at Newcastle and Port Stephens, helicopter flights, wind surfing, hang gliding and tours to the Hunter Valley vineyards, plus many more.
