Karibu (A Swahili word meaning "welcome") is an on-farm, water front, cottage just for two, private and secluded, but not isolated, situated at beautiful Pub Hill Farm. Pub Hill (also a popular Bed and Breakfast location for 20 years) has 250 acres of absolute water frontage onto the Wagonga Inlet, one of the region's finest fishing areas.
The cottage has a wonderful mezzanine bedroom with breathtaking views over the inlet through huge windows. Karibu has everything you will need for a comfortable stay...full kitchen with all appliances, large fridge, washing machine, barbecue and covered sitting out area. A WOOD FIRE (wood supplied free) is wonderful to sit around in winter after a day's sightseeing.
The cottage is surrounded by lawns and gardens of native plants.
Relax in comfort and enjoy a huge selection of books and magazines, or listen to the eclectic range of CDs on the stereo. Or perhaps watch a DVD or video. Or simply relax and do nothing.
PETS are very welcome at Karibu Cottage, and there are wonderful walks on the farm plus a creek for dogs to swim in ,while you fish.
Crisp, white linen and good quality towels are provided and included in your tariff at Karibu. A complimentary breakfast basket is provided for your first night. It contains freshly baked bread, home made Pub Hill jams, fresh free-range eggs, bacon, yoghurt, tomatoes, fruit , juice, milk, tea and plunger coffee.
Just ten minutes from the seaside town of Narooma, with its surf beaches(including three dog-friendly beaches) and renowned golf course, Karibu is also only 15 minutes from the heritage villages of Central Tilba and Tilba Tilba both of which are filled with craft shops and galleries.
If you can bear to tear yourself away from the comforts of Karibu Cottage there are many very interesting activities in the area.
Cruise up the Inlet on the Wagonga Princess, go deep sea fishing on a charter boat, play 18 holes of golf on a course which meanders along the cliff tops and from which you can view whales, in season.
Take a trip out to Montague Island and look at the seal colonies and also the large colony of Little Penguins. On the way out you may well spot dolphins at play, and in Spring there is almost a certainty of seeing whales and their calves as they head South for the summer.
Or perhaps just a leisurely drive along this superb coastline, stopping for fish and chips or a coffee and enjoying the views at any number of small towns.
