Description
Wimbie Beach is about 8km south of Batemans Bay on the South Coast of New South Wales. Its about 4 hrs drive from Sydney and 1 ½ hrs from Canberra or Goulburn.
This beach house is 2-3 minutes easy walk to Wimbie beach - which is dog friendly. The house is both couple, family and pooch friendly - fully fenced back yard and other goodies!
The beach is sheltered by rocky headlands and is usually calm and is very suitable for children. Great for snorkelling and fishing! For surfing there is neighbouring Surf Beach (patrolled in summer) which is a five minute stroll / paddle around the point, or keep walking to Denhams Beach where dolphins are often seen in the early morning. A bush walk 15 minutes through the National Park south of Wimbie Beach takes you to beautiful Lilli Pilli beach.
The cottage sleeps up to 8 people in 3 separate rooms (or 10 people with the 2 trundle beds). Upstairs, master bedroom with queen bed, 2nd bedroom with double bunks, and newly renovated bathroom. Downstairs is a rumpus room with queen bed and bunk bed, along with a freshly renovated bathroom / laundry. There are also two trundle beds, ideal for kids - so you could sleep up to 10. The house is set up for 2 families - NO SCHOOLIES OR GROUPS PLEASE!
Each bed has mattress protectors, pillows and doonas. Guests to bring their own sheets, pillowslips and towels.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create a snack or a five course dinner. You don't have to go without real coffee - there is an Italian espresso machine. Both bathrooms were renovated in 2009.
Jarrah floorboards throughout the house, the Living Area has everything you need to help you relax, including a huge 107 cm plasma TV with DVD player, ipod compatible stereo, comfy lounge chairs, games, magazines, DVD’s, Playstation 2 (located in downstairs rumpus), and slow combustion fireplace.
The house is located in a very quiet area just one street back from the beach. The house does not have beach views- it is located just a short walk up the hill. Note that because of the steepness of the driveway, and the internal stairs to the rumpus room downstairs, it may not be suitable for older adults or those who are mobility impaired.

Your pooch will love the fully fenced & large backyard, the doggy treats, as well as dog friendly wimbie beach and the off-leash area to the south of the beach.
Note that the cleaners fee of $80 per stay is payable if you stay for less than 5 nights - but this is waived if you stay for 5 nights or more. Also, the cleaner charges $30 per queen for linen / towells, and $20 per single.

Thanks once again for the stay - the house is just fantastic - we comfortably fit our two familes and dog - the kids loved the PS2 downstairs & backyard and there was enough seating on the lounge and dining table for 8 of us. Its realy close to beautifull wimbie beach and surf beach as well. We will be there next year! all the best, Marg 02/04/11
I just wanted to send a note to thank you for the use the holiday house this summer. My friends and I had a wonderful time and Toby (the cattle dog) absolutely loves it.
