Description

The Beach Retreat will delight your senses.

From the moment you drive in the gate, the sea and bush vistas start to weave their magic.

You are moments away from great beaches, restaurants, cafes, Otway National Park, bush and cliff top walks, a lighthouse climb, riding, and kayaking; yet feel as though you have been transported to an idyllic setting of tranquility where your only visitors are the presence and chatter of native birds and the occasional kangaroo, and the rumble of waves breaking.

The house looks out to the sea and is surrounded by 10 plus acres of iron bark eucalyptus and protected bush.

Outdoor sculptures enhance the surroundings and aim to amuse.

The house was architecturally designed, it features floor to ceiling windows with expansive views to the south, east and west that invite the outside in. There is a large deck (including seating and barbecue), an open plan living area replete with fireplace, piano, a dining table that seats 8, and two large sofas (one a sofa bed).

The new kitchen will inspire all cooks (a Smeg gas cooktop, double ovens, drawer dishwashers, coffee plungers, microwave, etc etc). We leave the kitchen stocked so feel free to use and replace any of the ingredients, food and wine that is there. The kitchen's windows open to the deck, even the sink has a view to the sea and lighthouse.

There are two bedrooms with queen size beds, one a mezzanine, the other on the ground floor with ensuite bathroom, a fireplace and lounge area. The main bathroom has a huge bath with bush and ocean views.

Television, DVD and video players (and some DVDs and CDs) are provided throughout the house, and the fireside trunk contains a plethora of games, if chess or cards take your imagination. There is plenty of heating and cooling and fire wood provided to cater for any weather.

We love the house and hope you do too.

Comments about Beach Retreat

"The fresh air, the pounding of the waves, the sand between the toes, long walks, birds, kangaroos, helped along by delicious wine, champagne, seafood and lingering breakfast. All that went before that was stressful and anxious was washed away. I know this retreat will be enjoyed by all who come to share for years to come."

"Better than a 5 star hotel. The views are magnificent."

"A stylish and sympathetic paradise in a superb setting."

"The wind blew through my ears and cleared away the noise of my mind. The sun shone to warm these tired, cold bones. The ocean views soothed my tired eyes and the calming peace seeped into my spirit and made me one with nature and life around me."

"Just a special touch of paradise, an oasis out of Melbourne. A true sanity restorer."

"A little slice of Australian heaven."

"Magnificent vistas ... a healing home ... a restful sanctuary. What a blessing to be here."

"Our visit here will be one of our most treasured memories of our trip to Australia."

"We've shared the balcony with the King Parrots, Magpies, Wattlebirds and numerous honeyeaters."

"Best holiday for so long. Much to remember and neither of us will forget the owls that came to visit. This is a wonderful part of Australia with so much to cherish. I'll be back."

What a great place. The view was magnificent and it was so quiet!! We will be back. Only complaint is that the water wasn't really hot enough for a good bath!

We had a relaxing two nights away. loved the huge belcony. Got to feed a kookabarour on the decking. Great views of beach. Loved all the candles available to make a glowing romantic abmience, for a speciel night in with my man. No neighbours as far as the eye could see. Definatly reccomend it for a relaxing stay. Bonus points for the open fire place!
