Fowlers Ocean Eco Retreat is a unique self contained 3 bedroom house that is newly renovated and beautifully furnished with the finest of finishings.

Situated 1.2km from the remote coastal township of Fowlers Bay (population 12). It is set on 100 acres offering complete privacy.

The house accommodates up to 6 people comfortably with 2 queen beds and 2 single beds.

Usually the temperature during the day remains pleasant as closeness to the sea (120 metres) moderates temperature extremes.

Fowlers Bay Town has a small local shop that can serve very nice and tasty take away meals. A real treat and pleasant surprise in this remote area for a night or two off cooking.

**It is important to note that powered facilities are kept to the bare minimum at the moment until we can upgrade water and install a larger power supply - we are unable to supply clothes washing facility at the house, but there is a laundromat available in the Fowlers Bay Village**

Whales of Fowlers Ocean Eco Retreat:

Between the months of June, through and until late September early October, watch Southern Wright Whales - play, give birth, feed their young - privately and unintrusively from the beach house balcony during the day or sit quietly on the beach in front of the house at night and listen to their call.
This is truly amazing to see and hear. It is so easy to waste away many hours simply sitting and watching these magnificent creatures of the sea so close and personal.
It is a beautiful walk (20 mins) along the beach to the township of Fowlers Bay.

The footprint free beach in front of the retreat is wonderful for those early morning investigative walks to see what may have washed up on the beach during the night.

Fishing:

For those that dabble in a little bit of fishing activity, Fowlers Bay is renowned for beach and rock fishing. Fowlers Bay town itself has a long and solar lit jetty that is utilised for a fishing adventure of its own without having to drive, so a 4 wheel drive vehicle is not necessary to go fishing.

The discerning fisherman however, and equipped with a 4 wheel drive has access to many open sea places to the more serious fishing adventures. A drive through the sand dunes, 4 wheel drive access only, will take you over to a whole new world of rock fishing, beach fishing well into the Great Australian Bight waters.

There is 4WD vehicle access to the beach from the house.

There is no fighting for space out here.
