Birds Eye View is high up on Park Hill with beautiful views through the pines to the ocean, Moonstone Beach and out to Piedras Blancas Lighthouse. 3 blocks walking distance to Moonstone Beach , Shamel Park , Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and a 20 minute walk to downtown it's in a perfect location for family travel. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms downstairs (queen beds) , fully stocked kitchen , dining room, living room , full bathroom on the main floor and a loft upstairs with 2 twin beds, this home comfortably sleeps 6 guests. Enjoy the wildlife and glass of wine from three private balconies. DOG friendly (2 dog max) with small back yard fenced in dog run and dog accessories such as gate , bowls and paw buster. This home is equipped with Smart Tv / Netflix / Amazon Fire Stick in the Living Room and Smart Tv in the Master Bedroom. Wifi , printer , landline (cell service in Cambria can sometimes be difficult) and bedroom desks make it a perfect place to vacation or work remotely. This rental also offers 3 bikes that are available for guest use!

When you're ready to venture out and explore the beautiful Central Coast you will have many options close by. Hearst Castle and Hearst Winery, perched above the San Simeon Cove are a 10 minute drive up the coast. The famed Paso Robles wine country is a quick 25 minute drive east. Visit the town of Harmony for a fun experience and the best ice cream. Charming San Luis Obispo is a 40 minute drive south and Big Sur heading north is relatively close by. Cambria is the perfect starting off point for countless adventures.

Nice home and neighborhood but would not stay here again
There were positives and negatives about this rental. It is a nice home in a nice neighborhood, but we would not choose this property again. Pros: - Home is in a nice neighborhood and only a few minutes from Moonstone Beach. - The home was clean and overall cozy/comfortable. The beds are decent. - The property is considered pet friendly. Cons: - When we booked this stay we chose a property that was pet friendly. We indicated “yes”’we were bringing pets. There was not an option to specify number of pets. We brought our 3 well traveled dogs who have stayed in hotels and vacation home rentals all over. Literally 2 minutes after after entering the property we received a call from the property management company stating the neighbors called the owners to complain we had 3 dogs on the property and only 2 are permitted. They said this would be an extra charge on top of the pet fees and extra cleaning fee already paid. We agreed to pay the extra charge even though the pet fees already paid seem sufficient. They ended up charging more to my card for this than they quoted. This did not make it feel nearly as “pet friendly” as many places we have stayed and it was disturbing to feel we were being watched that closely to get a call within 2 minutes of arriving. - One of the advantages of a home rental instead of hotels is the ability to cook. This property has plenty of cooking utensils/plates/glasses etc, but there was only 1/2 paper towel roll, an empty foil roll and an empty ziploc bag box. So there was nothing to save leftovers and also no condiments at all. We had to go and purchase these things in addition to soap pumps for the bathrooms since all they provide is hotel like sample size wrapped soap bars. - The house descriptions makes it sound like the bedrooms are on the first floor and a loft for 2nd story. Due to traveling with elderly parents, was looking for bedrooms on a first floor. Turns out this is tri level and the bedrooms are “downstairs” not on the main level. - We were told at check-in that there is a landline as cell phones may not get good reception. We got little to no cell service in the home. This should be included in the description. - The bathrooms are outdated compared to rest of house, showers are very small and the sink faucets in all of the bathroom spray everywhere even if barely on. The water also takes a very long time to get warm. Overall, not worth the high cost for us again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After staying in PH23 before, we were looking forward to our three weeks. We were not disappointed. Very enjoyable! Everything worked well. Very comfortable, great location, walk to the beach, near to West Village. We enjoyed many stops to see the waves and the birds at the state beach (near the Santa Rosa Creek.) Recommended!Concerns: Check out erosion and dirt on the wood walkway down to the dog run/back yard. BTW Nice crop of mushrooms down there.
