St Briavels Country House (pronounced St Brevels) is located just outside the village of Broke and is only minutes from the famous vineyards and cellar doors of Hunter Valley Wine Country.

St Briavels Country House is a large 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house situated on 30 acres. The property has 11 acres under vine, mainly Semillon and Chardonnay. The house has stunning views of the Brokenback Ranges and the sunsets in winter are spectacular.
Two bedrooms feature a queen size bed and large windows overlooking the vineyard. The third bedroom is in the formof a seprate living area upstairs with 2 single beds

Both bathrooms have overhead heating and one has a spa bath.
The large chef\'s kitchen has everything- microwave, oven, gas hotplates, all the cooking stuff of a well designed kitchen
Cook up a feast... then pack it all in the dishwasher. There is a gas BBQ on the verandah if you prefer something more informal.
Although the house has no TV reception, couch potatoes are catered for with DVDs and a Playstation. Or grab a book and a glass of wine and just relax by the fire...
There is only the one house on the property, set well back from the road, so your privacy is guaranteed.
The property was previously known as Cockfighter Creek Country House. The wine sub-region of Broke Fordwich is approximately 15 minutes west of Pokolbin. The wines of this region are distinctly different. They tend to be fruitier, softer- and generally better value!
Our region is famous for Verdelho. Most cellar doors are open every weekend, and welcome visitors with a smile.
The award winning Broke Village Fair takes place every year on the 3rd Sunday in September. If you love vintage cars and bikes this is a must see event.
Some of the best rural views are in Broke. Yellow Rock is the most noticeable- you will see it towering over Broke as you drive along Broke Road. Ask the locals and they will point you to special areas for bushwalking, including areas with ancient aboriginal carvings. The area has lots of shady picnic spots and a drive to nearby Wollombi is only 15 minutes away.

RATES

The rate for Friday & Saturday is $95 per person per night
Sunday - Thursday is $85 per person per night.

Children under 5 years of age free
Children 5 - 12 years of age half price

3 night minimum stay long weekends

We require a $200 bond which is refunded to you when the checkout report is complete (10 business days after your stay)

Full payment required 1 week before the booking date
No refunds if booking is cancelled or numbers of guests reduced 1 week or less before the booking

Split payments not accepted (Split payment means each or several guests paying portions of the cost - please arrange for one person to collect funds from other guests to make one payment)
