Guest Reviews

  • "We were very disappointed upon our arrival to find that there were dozens and dozens of broken glass shards all over the pavers in the enclosed courtyard and even on the polished floor of the dining area inside the unit which made it a nightmare at first as we had nowhere for our dog to go but to leave him in the car until we had completely cleaned up (without the aid of a vacuum cleaner). The owners knew we were arriving with our dog so we were very very unhappy about this. Whilst the unit itself was suitable for a family of four there were a number of things which we found sadly lacking. The gate of the courtyard which fronted onto a very busy road could not be locked and we therefore could not safely leave our dog there whilst out. The unit was not clean upon our arrival. There was insufficient and inadequate crockery and kitchen utensils. The gas bottle for the BBQ was empty after 3 minutes use. Several lightbulbs inside needed replacing upon arrival. There was nowhere to hang wet clothing or washing. The television, video and DVD had connecting leads missing and could not be used without changing leads each and every time. AND one of the bikes used by my son(and which was supposedly new) had a seat which kept collapsing and handlebars which wouldn't stay tightened and in place and brakes which barely worked. He came off the bike due to the seat collapsing and was very lucky to have not been badly injured on the road. We advised the owners of all of these issues but they have not been in touch with us at all which is most disappointing and discouraging as the unit could have otherwise been perfect for return trips to the area and as a recommendation to our friends. The area was beautiful and we will return again to stay elsewhere."
