Each cottage has two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. One has a queen-size bed, the other has two king size single beds. The living area is generous and there is a deck on which guests can sit and enjoy the view, for breakfast, lunch or take in the evening sunset.
The kitchen has ceramic cooktops, microwave oven, a generous refrigerator, cook-ware, crockery and cutlery and all the kitchen gadgets guests may need.
The cottages are designed to meet the needs of disabled guests, with easy ramp entry from the car park, open access shower, and all the kitchen fittings all at bench height.
There is a washing machine and outdoor clothesline, TV, DVD, radio/CD player, books, cards and binoculars for bird-watching.
The cottages provide the ultimate in peace, serenity and tranquility. There is a fascination about the view, which is a dry wetland in the summer, and a water feature including many different birds in the winter.
Facing north, the sunsets and sunrises create a magic light across the view. In autumn and winter morning mists lend an awesome eeriness to the wetland and bushland.
It is just so easy to sit back, relax, unwind and enjoy the serenity!
The cottages are just over two hours drive from Melbourne, a delightful 10 minute drive from Sale. Sale is a thriving rural town with shopping centre and main street shopping, museums, art gallery and very classy entertainment centre.
There are also walks around the town lakes, and the port of Sale area.
The Sale Golf Course is next door, and the Holey Plain State Park just down the road.
Longford is central to many beautiful Gippsland features, including the famous 90 Mile beach, the cool fern gullies of the Tarra Bulga park, the quaint historical town of Port Albert, the foothills of the mountains, and an easy drive to the Gippsland Lakes.
There is plenty to see and do in Gippsland!
