Lake Crackenback Chalet's are privately owned and built, privy to tremendous mountain vistas, quality furnishings, spacious interiors and classic features like open fireplaces and outdoor entertaining decks.

Nestled on Lake Crackenback Resort’s 150 acres, at the base of the Rams Head Range in the Snowy Mountains, the Lake Crackenback alpine environment is as individual and enticing as are the interior finishes and architectural designs of each chalet.

The chalets’ gardens are that of the resort’s and outlined by the pristine waters of the Little Thredbo and Thredbo Rivers offering world class fishing, natural stream fed swimming pools and perfect walking trails. Our friendly neighbour is New South Wales’ largest National Park, home to the highest mountains in Australia and NSW two largest ski fields - all within walking distance or short drive.

Central Setting
Nestled in the magnificent New South Wales Snowy Mountains High Country, adjacent to the Kosciuszko National Park rests Lake Crackenback Resort.

Winter Ski Season
Lake Crackenback Resort is conveniently located to Australia’s premier ski slopes – Thredbo and Perisher Blue.

The central location means you can choose which resort you visit – if snow or weather conditions are an issue, your meeting friends or the kids have an interschool race – whatever the reason, staying at Lake Crackenback Resort means you are no more than an easy 15 minutes from either resort.

Summer Season
Enjoy a range of outdoor adventures, from guided walks to fly fishing, against the backdrop of the region’s stunning mountains, lakes and rivers.

Lake Crackenback Resort prides itself on its array of resort activities ranging from archery to golf to paddle boats. Spend your entire time within resort boundaries or venture to our next door neighbour’s backyard, being the Kosciusko National Park – the largest national park in New South Wales.

Each three bedroom chalet is individual in appearance yet offer similar bed configuration. Chalets can also be available as either a two bedroom chalet and/or studio. Consideration of distinction along with an appreciation of the Snowy Mountains’ surroundings has been well
