The historic Windsor Township is set on a high bank of the magnificent Hawkesbury River, at the foot of the Blue Mountains and surrounding National Parks.

The Hawkesbury Region (Windsor) was discovered via the Hawkesbury River only one year after the first fleet arrived. The area has retained many of its original buildings which create a character and charm throughout the small townships in the area. There are more classified buildings in the Hawkesbury than in the City of Sydney and many date back to the very early 1800s.
