So much more than just a Bed & Breakfast, Zengarra has private suites in a huge house. It is surrounded by grassy meadows shrubberies and bush in 75 acres on the slopes of Mount Greville. The decks and large solar heated swimming pool look out to the Scenic Rim beyond. Choose from a bushwalk around the property, or a romantic stroll along the trail to the orchard for some serious privacy. Then dine and curl up on the chesterfield in front of a roaring log fire with a romantic DVD on the big screen. The long drive from the road lets you leave all your cares behind you. Tranquillity with nature, peace with yourself, beauty all around.
And if all this romance is just too much remember Zengarra is the perfect setting for a party or wedding!
The Scenic Rim is Brisbane\'s least known destination and Zengarra is one of its exclusive jewels. The award winning architecture, a style known as Funky Monochrome Country, has recently been extended to the new Music Pavilion which houses a Grand piano, and a concert marimba. Christine, one of the owners is a Graduate of the Royal Schools of Music and has brought a touch of romantic Music to add to Zengarra’s natural beauty. At Zengarra music is about enjoyment in a room with wonderful acoustics and a view over the Scenic Rim to match.
Afterward listening to nature and the music, sipping a glass of wine you can dine at the 200 year old French table enjoying the wonderful fresh local food accompanied by Australia\'s finest wines.
The Scenic Rim has attracted artists of all types from Australia and other countries. Zengarra has many pieces of collected art and we can guide you to cafes/galleries where you can see or buy pieces to suit your taste and maybe get a bargain price from a new talent. Feeling energetic? Then we have bush walks on the property to the National Park which is our boundary and a guide to many more walks nearby. You may see wallabies, goannas, possums, parrots, owls and too many birds to mention. Or head off to climb Mount Greville, a spectacular feat worth the effort. Or take it easy and drive up to the Governor’s Chair, where a short walk will bring you to an amazing view that so entranced Governor Greville of Queensland it was named for him.
Local wineries, sailing fishing gliding animal watching and petting, all make a welcome break from touring the scenic delights.
