Our 3 bedroom cottage is fully equipped for your comfort and tranquility. Set in a semi rural area, Riverside Cottage is nestled on the banks of Carlton River with your own jetty and beach. With an abundance of oysters & mussels your seafood platter is assured,and at the right time flathead are plentiful. The vineyards are just a short drive away as is Richmond, Port Arthur and Hobart Airport.
Riverside is a cosy cottage with a woodfire, large beds and fully equipped kitchen. The gardens have large pine trees and secret nooks, for reading and sunning or just taking in the local sounds of the many birds. A visit to Tassie in November is a must if you love looking at flowers, as Tassie comes alive with flowers of all descriptions - a must to see. Forget Western Australia and their wild flowers, come on over to Tas and see for yourself.
B-B-Q's overlooking the river at sunset are something to experience either with that special person or with the family, we think you will enjoy Riverside Cottage.

Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The rental charged is for domestic use only and not commercial use. This rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning,garbage removal, wear and tear etc... Use contrary to this will result in termination of tenancy.

It was hard for us to tear ourselves away from this lovely cottage to do our sightseeing. Harvesting fresh muscles and oysters from the jetty at the front door was a delicious bonus and the log fire made it cosy at night. Our children absolutely adored it here and did not want to leave. Many thanks to Anne and Col for their wonderful and welcoming hospitality and local knowledge.

Thanks to Colin & Anne for providing a lovely clean and cosy accommodation, our only regret was not having any time in our busy sight seeing schedule to spend some time using the watercraft on the river. The property had everything we needed plus more......

Beautiful cottage with lovely surroundings. All amenities provided - wonderful log burning fire. Very comfortable and cosy. Loved the use of the rowing boat. Good location for airport and exploring Hobart area. Thankyou for a lovely stay, would use again if travelling to Tasmania.

Just Wonderful. You will be delighted. Spotless , charming, cosy but spacious and well equipped by lovely owners who were so helpful and did a lot of work to make sure everything was perfect. An absolute pleasure to stay in. We stayed in 4 other places on our trip and this was the best. Thankyou Colin and Anne ( and your "kids")

just spent 5 wonderful days at this idyllic cottage. Situated in a very private location right on the river with fantastic views.Great base to explore southern tasmania only 25 mins to hobart.We felt totally at ease and found it very hard to leave.highly recommended A+

We loved staying at Riverside Cottage. The owners were helpful in providing equipment and toys for the children as well as local advice. The property has beautiful views over the river and is in a very relaxing and tranquil environment. The house is comfortable and welcoming. The pictures do not do it justice.
We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to others.

We loved it. Very comfortable. In my experience staying at hotels/apartments/holiday houses, I have always commented on the status of the mattress - i.e. being too soft - but at riverside, it was perfect - I had the most comfortable sleep. It was like being at home. The pier at the back, was excellent for my husband and the kids, who love fishing, and the kitchen amenities, were way above what we expected. They provided almost everything you needed. The owners were very friendly, offered valuable travel advice, and were only a phone call away if we needed their assistance. For new travellers in Tas, they also had a DVD showing what TAS had to offer. The whole experience made our stay very happy and relaxing.

The cottage was fantastic in everyway In a lovely position, right on the water with wonderful views from the kitchen and lounge. The cottage was clean, well presented and with everything supplied. The owners were helpful, friendly and a delight to meet. We enjoyed our vacation in Tasmania and look forward to visting again.
