Set amongst ten acres of lush tropical gardens is Daintree Wild B & B and the Daintree Mangroves Wildlife Sanctuary.

Watch the local bird life and visiting butterflies as you enjoy your breakfast. Spend time in the sanctuary where there are over 140 species of native birds, mammals and reptiles to see and enjoy. Hand feed a cassowary, pat a gentle kangaroo, be amazed at the collection of Black Cockatoos, watch the crocodiles being fed.

Choose between luxurious Aviary Rooms overlooking the zoo and Cape Tribulation or Poolside Rooms with shared facilities. All accommodation opens directly into the zoo, and those that choose to purchase zoo entry may roam at their leisure after hours and watch the feeding of the nocturnal animals and come and go freely during the entirety of their stay.

In addition to enjoying the zoo, we are located within easy access to the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef. It's just a stone's throw to the ferry to Cape Tribulation, a quick drive to the Atherton Tablelands and near to Port Douglass and Cairns to take boats out on the reef. Activities include taking a river cruise on the Daintree River to experience crocodiles in the wild and our beautiful Far-North Queensland birds. We also book tours for horse riding on the beach, birdwatching, fishing, bush walking and natural history tours.
