This light and airy home is comfortably furnished for a relaxing holiday away from the bustle of the city but close enough to shops, cafes, post office and all facilities. It features a large tranquil lounge and functional family room with TV, Video , DVD and stereo system. A separate dining room and a spacious, well-appointed kitchen look out onto the garden. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and there are two single beds in each of the other bedrooms. A double bed is available for the second bedroom if requested. All linen including feather doonas, pillows and bath towels are supplied. The bathroom includes a bath and there is an extra shower in the large laundry. A shady outdoor eating area, with garden furniture and gas barbeque, leads onto a large fully enclosed garden. There is a lock-up garage and room for extra cars and a boat. The Carlisle is more than a home away from home.
The home is Non Smoking and No Pets are allowed.
Shoalwater Bay is just two minutes walk from The Carlisle and provides excellent swimming, snorkelling and fishing opportunities. Windsurfing and kiteboarding are also popular activities, and for boating enthusiasts, there is a boat ramp at the southern end of Carlisle Street.
Penguin Island is home to over 1200 Little Penguins and a conservation park for birds. At low tide in summer months visitors can walk across the sandbar to the island or take the 10 minute Penguin Island ferry trip to the island. To fully appreciate the beauty of the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, take a 45 minute cruise on a glass bottom boat visiting Seal Island to see Australian Sea Lions. Then view the nesting colonies of Australian Pelicans before arriving at Penguin Island. On the island, be sure to vist the Penguin Island Discovery Centre to get a close look at the Little Penguins and watch them being fed. Visit the Shoalwater Marine Park Information Centre and discover the lovely walk trails and picnic areas on the island.
Point Peron offers more walk trails around the limestone cliffs as well as magnificent views of HMAS Stirling Naval Base and Mangles Bay. It is also an excellent fishing spot.
Naragebup Environment Centre, located opposite Lake Richmond, is just a short walk from The Carlisle. This purpose built environment centre has a regional herbarium, touch tables, specialised reference library, organic gardens, dune ecology trail, eco playground, ampitheatre, giant chess set, marine centre, thrombolite learning centre and bushtucker walk. A Sustainability Shop with interesting and different gifts has recently opened.
The Boardwalk at Palm Beach, with its many cafes and restaurants, is only a short distance away and offers a selection of fine food for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Rockingham City Shopping Centre offers a variety of speciality shops and is open seven days a week during school holidays.
Smaller shopping centres, such as Bayside Shopping Centre and Shoalwater Shopping Centre, are both conveniently located a short walk from The Carlisle. Here you will find a supermarket, chemist, newsagency and Post Office as well as other retailers, cafes and restaurants.
DEPOSIT:
A 25% deposit is due within 7 days of making a reservation. The booking will be confirmed within 7 days of receipt of the deposit. If the booking is made 28 days or less before the commencement of the holiday, the full tariff is required. The deposit is non-refundable if there is a cancellation within 28 days of booking unless the property is re-let. A cancellation within one week of booking will result in all money being retained.
FINAL PAYMENT:
Full and final payment, plus a refundable security bond for the holiday booking is required 28 days before commencement of the holiday or immediately for last minute bookings.
MINIMUM STAY:
Please note there is a minimum stay of 2 nights.
SIZE OF PARTY:
The number of guests occupying the property for the holiday must not exceed the number specified on the Booking Form. If for any reason there is a change to the number of guests occupying the property the Owner must be informed immediately.
GUEST RESPONSIBILITY
Guests are expected to look after and take all reasonable care of the property and all furnishings and equipment included in the property and to observe the “No Smoking ” requirement. Any faults, damages or breakages must be reported to the Owner as soon as possible. Guests will be liable for any breakages or damages caused to the property during the guests’ holiday occupation and costs of repair and replacement shall be payable upon demand to the Owner. It is the responsibility of the guests to ensure that all doors are securely locked and that the property is left in a clean and tidy state at the end of the holiday.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT TIMES:
Arrival 2pm. Departure 10am.
LINEN:
The accommodation includes the supply of all linen. This includes pillows, quilts or doonas, bed sheets, bath towels, bath mats and tea towels. Beach towels are not included.
GUESTS’ PROPERTY:
All personal belongings, baggage, vehicles and other property of the Guest shall be the risk of the Guest at all times and the owner does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage.
RIGHT TO REFUSE OR REVOKE BOOKINGS:
The owner reserves the right to revoke or refuse a booking which may in their opinion be unsuitable for the property.
RESIDENTIAL TENANCIES ACT NOT APPLICABLE
The Guest and the Owner acknowledge and agree that the Rental Agreement to which these conditions apply is bona fide entered into for the purposes of conferring on the Guest a right to occupy premises for a holiday within the meaning of Section 5 (2) (e) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1987 as amended (“the Act”), and the parties to the Agreement confirm that the provisions of Act shall not apply to the Rental Agreement.
