  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gillies Cottage. The location is great and the presentation was imaculate and the little touches eg the fruit bowl and bread, jam etc made it all the more welcoming. We will return and will be happy to recommend it to our friends."

  • "Great location in Bangalow. Ideal for 2 people and your furkid. Complementary fruit, milk, bread chocolates etc are a great touch. The cottage has an olde worlde charm, and great for slowing down and relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine. Bangalow is a great place to stay and so convenient with a short walk to the nearby cafes, restaurants & shops. Must eat is the Bangalow pub for dinner! Bangalow Market on 4th Sunday of the month is one of the better markets to visit, and only across the road! The Weir opposite the house is fantastic for walking dogs. The river providing a welcome cool off for dogs & owners on a hot afternoon (cross over the bridge & follow your nose to access a private waterhole, with small beach access for dogs). Byron & its beaches is only a 15 minute drive away, Suffolk Park Beaches are dog friendly. Don't forget to visit The Harvest cafe in Newybar for a great breakfast on the verandah! This was our 3rd visit and just as enjoyable as our first"
