Three self-contained B & B bungalows on a lovely secluded 30 acre property near Daintree National Park. Abundant tropical birds, fruits and gardens and rainforest walks make it a nature-lovers paradise, honeymoon retreat or restful spot during a busy holiday schedule. Complimentary daily tropical breakfast basket includes tropical fruits (home-grown in season), juice, cereals, home-made preserves, locally-grown coffee and Daintree tea.
Each airy bungalow has a queen-size bed and convertible sofa for one extra adult (please note that children under 12 are not catered for), ensuite with large shower, microwave and cooktop, cooking utensils and all linen. Verandahs have pleasant views over the wetlands-dam and rainforested valley and there are easy walks around the property.
No phones, TV or radio to disturb your tranquility. Just beautiful birdsong and the soft sounds of the rainforest. More than a hundred species of birds have been identified and especially in early spring (September) the dawn chorus can be deafening!
Resident wildlife includes bandicoots, swamp wallabies, saw-shelled turtles, a myriad butterflies and, very occasionally, you may be lucky enough to spot a platypus in the dam.
The guests\' barbeque area in the historic old timber shed has a jacuzzi spa, information on local activities, books and board games, and a dart-board.
Your resident hosts will respect your privacy but are always available to provide advice, make bookings if required or just to help with local information.
Easy driving distance from Cairns (under 2 hours), Cape Tribulation and Port Douglas (each under 1 hour). A 10 minute, 8km drive from Daintree Village along a winding scenic valley trail, passing through stands of rainforest and cattle-grazing valley pastures.
Peace and tranquility yet close to all the area\'s attractions - Daintree River crocodile- and wildlife-watching cruises, birdwatching, pristine beaches, rainforest walks, beach horse-rides, access to the Great Barrier Reef and scenic drives through Daintree National Park and the Daintree River valley.
