The Blue Bungalow is a freshly renovated, self contained holiday house in the heart of one of the best kept holiday secrets in Australia.


No matter where you are in Red Rock you are in the center of unspoiled paradise. The Blue Cottage is a short walk from everything – the shop with it’s post office facilities, the bowling club with it’s friendly bistro and bar, the fish filled river, the delightful boardwalk through the mangroves, the magnificent pristine beaches, and town reserve. Red Rock is the jewel in the crown of the north coast beaches.


The town is quaint and neighbourly, a place where everyone still has time to smile and say g’day. Surrounded by Yuragir National Park and the Pacific Ocean, Red Rock has plenty natural wonders on offer from the jewfish and flathead in the river, dolphins and whales in the oceans to an amazing array of flora and fauna in the littoral rainforest and the heath lands. Dolphins can be spotted daily off the main beach, as there are several local pods. Whale watching is also opportune during the migratory seasons. Peak months are April and November. Red Rock is also home to Little Terns, Southern Emu Wrens, Ground Parrots and nesting pairs of Beach Stone Curlew.


There are great fishing spots, lawn bowls, a cricket pitch, a boat ramp, tennis court and children’s playground for the active set. Fishing gear and licenses are available at the shop and flathead, jewfish and brim area available in the river. Tennis and lawn bowls can be booked at the bowlo at an extremely reasonable rate. The children’s playground is brand new and overlooks the river. The tidal river can offer as much or as little exercise as you like. Go against the tide for a muscle building workout or go with it and lazily float up and down between the beach and the park.. Or swim across the river and walk up the deserted beaches of the National Park.

The Blue Bungalow

The Blue Bungalow is a fully furnished holiday house that can sleep up to six people or eight if you would like to use the sofa bed in the main bedroom (suitable for 2 families). The house has a large fully fenced yard, which is convenient for pets and children. There is a front deck for morning coffees and a large covered back deck with barbecue. The kitchen has a new fridge and stove and all cooking and eating utensils. There is a television and dvd player for entertainment. The house also has a washing machine and clothesline.


The loft bedroom has a queen sized bed and a pull out sofa bed. The downstairs bedroom has two sets of bunk beds and opens onto the front deck


Doonas, blankets and plenty of pillows are provided. Guests need only provide sheets, pillowcases, towels and tea towels.

The Blue Bungalow has high airy ceilings and is fully screened and fan cooled. A large new tank provides pure rainwater for drinking and use in the house.


Red Rock is also only ten minutes away from Woolgoolga, which has a variety of restaurants from pizza to Thai to Indian. It also has video and DVD rental shops, banks, chemist, and grocery stores. Red Rock is half an hour to Coffs Harbour, which has all the big city conveniences including a hospital and airport.

Please note minimum booking 2 nights. If one night requested surcharge of $ 20 applies.
