Exceptional! An oasis in a frantic world where time stands still for a moment when you wander through gardens made in heaven. Blissful tranquility.

We called in for one night and stayed for five. Everything was wonderful, so peaceful.

Let poets sing of English towns, their beauty and their splendour, give me a place thats better than all, Maple Grove in the hills of Yackandandah.

What can we say? The gardens are beautiful, the breakfasts are delicious, the atmosphere is serene and Karins attention to every detail is just exceptional.

Great quality, value, friendliness. Wonderful furnishings.

Guest Reviews
A truly perfect oasis in a beautiful region of the state. The weather and the glories of autumn shone in this immaculate garden making our brief stay most memorable. Karin and Dieter have created and are maintaining a wonderful, friendly get-a -way experience and we regret that our visit was necessarily brief. A thoroughly recommended comfortable and well appointed place to stay.

Maple Grove is truly a hidden treasure & we are so happy that we discovered it. The gardens create a serene environment in which to wind down 7 relax and the house is charming & cosy. A home away from home. The whole experience left us feeling re-energised. Karin & Dieter are wonderful hosts. They leave no stone unturned in their attention to detail & their wiilingness to be of assistance. We will be back

We really enjoyed our stay at Maple Grove B & B and we would certainly consider a return visit. We were also very pleased with the suggested dinner venue in the local hotel.

The weather was quite warm and the air conditioner made our stay very comfortable.

What an amazing experience!! Karin & Dieter are such wonderful hosts that i've now found myself a regular visitor of this beautiful home & property. I have stayed at different times of the year & each time I discover a new experience. Summer the frogs, autumn the leaves, winter the warmth and those wonderful sunsets & stars during summer & anytime of the year. Thankyou for such lovely ,beautiful, serene surrounds.

It is almost 10 years since my partner and I last spent holiday time in our own state. We won't make that mistake again as we will certainly be returning to Maple Grove.

Fortunately we found that Yackandandah has been spared from the bushfires that ravaged much of Victoria's high country and it remains an oasis of green farmland and forest in a somewhat blackened State.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the excellent standard of accomodation we enjoyed at Maple Grove. Hosts Karin and Dieter are attentive to their guests needs and their recent refurbishments have greatly enhanced the guest suites.

We found plenty to do in the surrounding area, and enjoyed some nice meals in both Beechworth and Yackandandah, but to be honest the major attraction was to be able to totally relax and unwind in such an idyllic setting.

The next time I have a long business report to write I will be packing my overnight bad and laptop computer and heading back to Maple Grove.

Absolutely amazing gardens surround the immaculately kept rooms at this B&B. By far the cleanest, well appointed rooms my wife and I have ever visited, and thats saying something! Nothing short of an oasis in the dry North East of the state, the property is lovingly kept by its owners who show a distinct flair for horticulture. Absolute seclusion and peace and quiet are the advantages of Maple Grove, and yet it is only 1.5km from the heart of Yackandandah, where you can find lovely, reasonably priced meals at the Star Hotel, unlike the better known area of Beechworth which is only 10 minutes drive away and sure to be twice as expensive.
The rooms themselves had only just been renovated, and I can say with certainty, with no expense spared. Air conditioning, plasma TVs, a kitchen with everything you need to make dinner (if you want), and a lovely modern bathroom tastefully decorated. Antiques fill each room, and yet do not look out of place amongst the most modern of conveniences. Finally, of course, the bed itself was wonderful! I have spent $4,500 on my bed at home, and this bed at Maple Grove was just as good! I slept like a baby!
My thanks to our hosts on our trip, and my wife and I are sure to see you again soon.

Karin and Dieter are friendly and gracious hosts. Their attention to detail is second-to-none. The house has magnificent antiques and the surrounding gardens are superb. A real oasis that we recommend.
