Kangaroo Island remains one of the most unspoilt natural wonders of the world. You'll find seals basking on quiet beaches, whilst koalas munch on gum trees and echidnas search for ants. Kangaroos, goannas, wallabies, penguins and birds, such as eagles and rare parrots are at just about every turn. A third of the island is managed conservation and national park, and half the island has never been cleared of vegetation.
Situated in the exquisitely beautiful, north west corner of Kangaroo Island in South Australia, the Demole River Retreat offers a unique holiday experience for the eco-tourist, or anyone, searching for that special touch of paradise.
DeMole River Retreat or 'GAIA', is a self contained, modern, spacious and very comfortable, solar powered, two bedroom, pole frame dwelling that allows visitors to share the experience of an idyllic bush retreat whilst sacrificing no modern conveniences.
The house features two large bedrooms, each with a private patio area, equipped kitchen, slow combustion heater, bbq, spacious dining/lounge and private parking. Demole River Retreat is unique, and because of its location, nature abounds. Most creatures are so tame they will eat out of your hand...
Surrounded by 70 acres of pristine bush land with a running creek close to the house, let yourself be captivated by the natural beauty that is the stunning environment of Cape Forbin, Kangaroo Island.
The sound of the many rills and waterfalls of the little Demole River, forms the perfect soundtrack to an idyllic afternoon, as kangaroos and wallabies visit the retreat at evening. There are frequent sightings of the rare Glossy Black, as well as echidnas and goannas. Take the walking trails to Demole Beach, or a short drive to Kangaroo Beach, and be the only people there.
DeMole River Retreat is situated on the north-west coast of K.I. near Cape Forbin, and managed by Graham Burnell.

Sleeping Arrangements
The property sleeps up to four people. There is one bedroom with a queen bed, and another with two king singles or one king bed. Each bedroom has its own private patio area.

Prices
Pricing ofr two people: $200 per night for 3 to 5 nights. $180 per night for six or more nights. $250 per night for 2 nights.
