Description

Sandy Point Getaway is a modern beach house situated just five minutes walk from Sandy Point Surf beach. It is a few minutes drive from Shallow Inlet, which is excellent for fishing and windsurfing and is a 20 minute drive to Wilsons Prom. With three bedrooms, Getaway will sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children and 2 babies/toddlers (in cots) comfortably. It is ideal for a young family (or two).

The house has a fully fenced garden laid to lawn, which backs onto fields at the rear. This is ideal for the kids to run around in, when not at the beach. A paddling pool is also provided if the kids want to cool off before hitting the beach.

Sliding glass doors overlook the rear garden, bringing the outdoors right inside. The open-plan kitchen/lounge area is bathed in sunlight during the daytime and opens onto a huge deck, with views over the garden and the farmland. The deck is equipped with sun lounge, barbeque (now brand new!) and outdoor table and chairs.

The lounge room comes complete with comfortable lounges, TV, video/DVD and CD player. The large windows let in fresh sea air and make for a breezy atmosphere.

The kids are well catered for with a vast array of toys, books and DVD’s. A high chair and change table are all supplied, as well as a junior size table and chairs for the toddlers. A baby/toddler backpack is also provided if you want to take your little one for a stroll on the beach or a hike on Wilsons Prom.

Getaway’s kitchen is fully equipped with a comprehensive choice of utensils, crockery and cutlery, as well as a spacious fridge-freezer, a gas cook-top, electric oven, microwave and a stainless steel kettle and toaster.

The three bedrooms offer quality beds supplied with all linen (no need to bring linen or make the beds up when you arrive). Two of the bedrooms have queen-sized beds, one has an additional futon bed which is easily made up into a comfortable single. The third bedroom has 2 very comfortable, single bunk beds with bedrails (ideal for young children) and a cot (please bring your own cot bedding). An additional portacot is available if needed. Electric heaters are throughout the house for any cool nights.

Bedroom 1 - One queen bed and one single sofa bed – potacot also available
Bedroom 2 – One queen bed
Bedroom 3 – 2 single bunk beds and one cot.
**Please note - our pricing includes the use of the 2 queen size beds in bedrooms 1 and 2 and the 2 single bunk beds and cot in bedroom 3. If the sofa bed needs to be used an extra $30 per stay applies. If the portacot needs to be used, an additional $20 per stay applies. **

Getaway has a full size bath, a separate shower and W/C. A plastic baby bath is also available if necessary. Bathroom towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. There is a laundry with a fully automatic washing machine, trough and tumble drier.

Dogs, and their owners, are most welcome and dogs can walk off the lead on parts of Sandy Point surf beach, at certain times of the year. Though not allowed in the house a comfortable kennel is provided to give them the shelter they need outside (please bring your own dog bedding).

Sandy Point Getaway has everything you need to holiday with a young family. Just bring yourselves and the kids and enjoy a fantastic beach escape.

***Please note 1 night stays are available all year round (except for long weekends) for $250 per night - bookings within 7 days of arrival only***

  • "Sandy Point Getaway is amazing. Everything you need is there. It caters for families and groups of all types. The combination of bedroom furnishing along with all the cutlery and cooking equipment, and DVDs/Board games make you feel right at home. There is even a room full of toys for those with young children and a BBQ for keen chefs. Location wise, it is only a few minutes walk to the beach, the general store and mini golf (which is only $5 for 18holes). Perfect place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy a quiet beach town and do a day trip to Wilsons Prom."
