Description

A very warm welcome to "Shearwater".

This brand new Stuart Whitelaw-designed home offers a very special absolute beachfront holiday. Relax and enjoy stunning filtered views of Surf Beach and the Billabong behind the beach through beautiful spotted gums.

The large living area upstairs takes advantage of the northerly aspect and views. Large bi-fold doors open the dining area to the covered deck room with BBQ.

Sleeping is downstairs in 4 large comfortable rooms which can be configured to king or king/twin beds. There is also a double wall bed upstairs in the study, and 4 bathrooms.

Perfect for families or couples.

Direct access to 3 beautiful beaches. Enjoy!

THE ACCOMMODATION

A double garage provides direct access to the house - there are 4 boogie boards for you to use.

DOWNSTAIRS:
A Studio with king (or king twin) bed/s, kitchenette, dining and lounge area and bathroom. This is a large and lovely room with corner windows and glass doors leading to the garden, and with fabulous beach views to wake up to.

The Master bedroom (king bed) is next to the studio and also has lovely beach views, glass doors to a deck overlooking the beach and garden. The open-style ensuite has a free-standing spa bath, double shower and there are dual basins in the dressing/built-in wardrobe area.

There are 2 more King (or King twin) bedrooms with built-in wardrobes. They share a split bathroom (separate toilet/shower room).

All beds are made up with quality linen, and bath towels and robes are provided.

The laundry has washing machine and dryer.

There is a large tree-trunk table and benches in the garden for outdoor dining, and an outdoor shower (tank water) for washing off sand on the way back from the beach.

UPSTAIRS:
The living area upstairs is open plan and has a spectacular lounge, home theatre, plasma screen, zoned sound system and gas log fire for cosy evenings.

The large kitchen/dining area overlooks the beach. Bifold doors open to the outdoor covered lounge area with gas BBQ.
The kitchen is beautifully appointed with Smeg appliances and gas cooktop - plenty of room for keen cooks to prepare meals, and with the BBQ just off the kitchen (upstairs) you are never far away from the action. The elegant Italian dining table, tea light candles and dimmers for the lights will create a beautiful atmosphere at night. You have to try it!

The study at the back of the living area has a fold-down double wall bed (very comfortable for one or 2 people), desk with phone/internet connection.

There is a another bathroom on this level, and there is a sliding door on the landing to keep toddlers contained!

SURF BEACH

Out the garden gate, down the stairs and you are on the sand so pop down for a swim before breakfast, lunch or dinner!

The Beaches. At the bottom of the steps you are on Surf Beach. Wimbie Beach is around to the right and is a gentler wave for the mini members of the group. Surf Beach is straight ahead and is patrolled during summer holidays. It has lovely waves for the boogie boarders. Walk along Surf Beach and around the point (easy and firm sandy walking) to Denhams Beach which is popular with the board riders when the surf is happening. The beaches are all great for a nice long stroll, power-walk or run along the sand at any time of the year.

If you love fishing Batemans Bay has the lot - river/bay/surf -you choose. And there's a plumbed gas BBQ at Shearwater for you to cook the results (or some good fish shops in the Bay for fresh local fish).

Surf Beach has a small shopping centre a short walk away (across the beach is quickest). There is an IGA Supermarket, Surf Beach Pizza for great pizza, pasta, fish and chips(eat in or takeaway), Chemist, Medical Centre, Chinese restaurant (eat in or takeaway), Hairdresser, Bottle Shop and Fishing Supplies Shop.

There is also a beach store which has newspapers/mags and take-away food!
