Have a large group or family getting together? The House is at the front of the property (known as Crabbes Creek Cottages) which also has 6 self-contained cottages, completed in 2004, scattered over 15 acres.
The House, originally built in 1972, has undergone renovations to allow for a relaxed, carefree stay. It is almost blocked from the road by a huge mulberry tree, one of many productive fruit trees on the property. The wide back verandah area is ideal for entertaining & enjoying the birds & creek area.
The property allows flexibility for family gatherings, club groups & intimate weddings. Yet it also gives privacy for individual holiday makers because of the extensive, beautiful gardens & layout.
The sc flat is only used for accommodation when guests are part of a group already booked in The House.

Sleeping and living at The House

The main bedroom has a Queen bed with wardrobe, the second has wardrobe & twin King Singles (can be joined), the third has a pair of singles & there is a futon + foldaways which provide extra sleeping space in the living area if necessary.
The toilet is separate to the bathroom which has a metre x metre bath. There is a drying cupboard in the laundry with dryer and 6.5kg turbo LG washing machine, The optional self-contained flat has an extra shower & toilet accessible from outside & under the verandah.
There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms & the living area. There is a pot belly stove in the living area + extra heaters for winter if needed.
All linen is provided but bring your own beach towels.
The kitchen has a double bowl sink, large fridge, gas upright oven, microwave, a pantry stocked with basic breakfast & cooking essentials.
LCD TV and DVD player, CD system, bookcases of games, magazines and books are in living area.
The property is set up on environmentally sustainable principles, has ample tank water & uses an aerated septic system.

Reception provides an extensive selection of DVDs for all the family & a selection of music CDs as well as games & book library.
Crabbes Creek General Store, built in 1890, can provide your general food, liquor, newsagent & petrol needs. It's a very special shopping experience!
Beaches are only a few minutes away - the nearest is Wooyung from where you can see the Byron Bay lighthouse to your right & Tweed Heads to your left, & the whales during winter.
There is plenty to do close by - National Parks, fishing, golf, surfing, visiting galleries, - yes, & even shopping at Byron Bay, Murwillumbah, Tweed Heads, Coolangatta or the smaller villages of Stokers Siding, Uki & Brunswick Heads. Markets are on every weekend as well as Farmers markets during the week for fresh organic produce.
