Spend five minutes in this private hide-away and you will feel yourself unwinding and something about this yet-to-be discovered peaceful fishing village of Toogoom takes you back to a time when life was less stressful and less complicated. Soaring cathedral ceilings give a spacious feeling and the french doors that open wide to the natural airconditioning of the sea breezes bring the outdoors indoors. For the rare chilly days or evenings in the winter months, relax and read a book, or enjoy a glass of wine next to the cosy log fireplace . Or if you just wish to relax in front of the tv, there is a 102cm plasma tv in the lounge for enhanced viewing pleasure.Walk the short 30 metre pathway and step directly onto the pristine beach from the back yard.These waters are renowned for great fishing, and very safe swimming.At night go to sleep to the sound of the waves and in the morning enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on your private veranda that overlooks the ocean.The beautiful sunrise and sunsets over the water are absolutely spectacular and a memorable experience.

..Your choice of options are endless.... relax and watch the pelicans sail lazily by, or cast a fishing line from the beach or your boat and catch your dinner for the evening to throw on the barbie. If feeling active, there is plenty of space to enjoy a game of cricket, swim, or leisurely walk the beach.



One of the most famous seafood restaurants in the area, ‘Goody’s’ is only a ten minute walk away. There is an adjacent boat ramp and general store/café to pick up the essentials or enjoy a cappuccino and their freshly baked, mouth-watering slices and cakes.A Convenience/Takeaway General store is also nearby. They stock a large range of essentials and while there why not try their specialty ... fish, calarmari and chips. inexpensive , fresh and delicious.

Guests will need to supply their own consumables (tea and coffee,food,toiletries,washing products, etc ) linen (sheets, towels etc ). However, as it is not always practical to be able to supply your own, especially if you are interstate or overseas guests, there is linen available at an extra cost . If linen is required please request when confirming booking.
For those past guests who have known us previously as \'Jacaranda Cottage\', yes we have had a name change but everything else stays the same !

The main bedroom upstairs , located adjacent to a 2 way bathroom,( shower, bath, toilet) has a Queen-size bed, air-conditioner, TV, balcony and water views.There is also a TV, Queen and single bed in the second bedroom and a double bunk in the third bedroom. There is a bedroom adjacent to the lounge downstairs containing a single bed, a Queen sized bed, and is located beside the second bathroom.(shower, toilet ) There is also a brand new portacot manufactured to Australian safety standards for babies/infants up to 13 kg .

Toogoom Beach is a small, peaceful fishing village located just a short 15 minute drive from Hervey Bay, the fastest growing regional city in Queensland. Hervey Bay has a population of approx. 50,000 people, and has all the facilities you would expect to find in a city of this size, including fabulous restaurants, shopping, golf courses and cinemas.

Many tourists visit this area and return frequently to enjoy the beautiful climate and the many attractions on offer, including world famous whale watching trips. Getting up close to these beautiful mammals as they play in the warm waters of Platypus Bay is an experience not to be missed. Schools of dolphin are plentiful and can be sited regularly either from shore or boat. Hervey Bay is just a 3 hour scenic drive north from Brisbane. Both Virgin and Jetstar airlines also offer inexpensive flights from most States in Australia
