Walking
Brooms Head is surrounded by the Yuraygir National Park and there are many walking tracks to explore the spectacular coastal headlands. Maps are provided.
Fishing
Is popular along the beaches, from the rocks, in the local Sandon River or if you have a boat, out to sea. There is a supply of fresh yabbies, beach worms or pipis all year round.
Swimming
There are a range of options from a safe lagoon suitable for small children, snorkeling in rock pools to swimming in one of the many surf beaches.
Surfing
Good waves can be found for beginner or experienced surfers – either in front of the house, red cliffs, Sandon back beach or even Angourie.
4WD vehicles
Are able to drive on most beaches around Brooms Head.
Whale watching
Whales can be seen swimming past the house at Brooms Head at certain times of the year. Dolphins are seen most of the year.
Beach Games
Beach cricket, volleyball, sand castles, bocce etc.
Relaxing
Sit on the verandah with a good book, listen to music, have a BBQ dinner on the verandah, play board games with the kids, have a drink with your friends.
