Ellie's Spa Cottage is a delightful 1 bedroom cottage situated right in the heart of the beautiful historic seaside village of Stanley on Tasmania's North West Coast. The cottage has a superbly comfortable queen size bed, fitted with quality linen for a perfectly restful nights sleep. The large bathroom features a double hydrotherapy massage spa, with plenty of soft towels supplied. The kitchenette/dining area features polished Tasmanian blackwood timbers, and the carpeted sitting room has comfortable lounge chairs, olde world electric log heater, TV, VCR and DVD player. Books, magazines and a deck of playing cards are provided for your enjoyment. Sit back and relax at the end of the day with a glass of port and Tasmanian chocolates(provided). The cottage has skylights for added warmth and charm. Generous continental breakfast provisions are included and private off street parking.
Stanley was settled in 1826 and has many attractions. The Nut is a monolith rising 152 metres from the sea, with the township built at its base. It has a chairlift to take people to the summit, the view from the top is quite breathtaking. There are many historic buildings, including Highfield House and Joe Lyons Cottage, the birth place of this Tasmanian born Prime Minister of Austraia. There are many quaint cafes and restaurants in Stanley, as well as shops and galleries. Fresh seafood is available 356 days of the year in Stanley.
The Swingin' Anchor Cafe/Restaurant specialises in local seafood dishes, including Tasmanian Scallop Pies and many house baked gourmet treats at excellent prices. They also serve spectacular desserts and THE BEST COFFEE in town - Grinders of course.
Ye Olde Chocolate Shoppe is a must to visit - with an abundance of Tasmanian made chocolates, fudges and truffles as well as Tasmanian made ice-creams and sorbets.

Wildlife tours depart Stanley daily on request. See Platypus and Little Penguins in their own natural environment with a guide who is 7th generation to Stanley. This tour is a must for both families and wildlife enthusiasts alike (minimum 4 adults).
