The cottage has a superbly comfortable pillow top queen size bed, fitted with top quality linen. The large bathroom features a double corner hydrotherapy massage spa, with plenty of soft towels and toiletries. The kitchenette/dining area features polished Tasmanian blackwood timbers, and the carpeted sitting room has leather recliner lounge chairs, olde world electric log heater, TV, VCR and DVD player. Books, magazines and a selection of DVD's are supplied for your enjoyment. The cottage has skylights for added warmth and charm. Generous continental breakfast provisions, port and Tasmanian chocolates are included. Private off street parking.

Attractions of Stanley

The pristine beaches surrounding Stanley are delightful. Stanley was settled in 1826 and has many attractions. The Nut is a monolith rising 152 metres from the sea, with the township built at its base. It has a chairlift to take people to the summit, the view from the top is quite breathtaking. There are many historic buildings, including Highfield House and Joe Lyons Cottage, the birth place of this Tasmanian born Prime Minister of Austraia. There are many quaint cafes and restaurants in Stanley, as well as shops and galleries. Fresh seafood is available 356 days of the year in Stanley.
Wildlife is in adundance, with Platypus and Penguin viewing tours, 4 Wheel Drive eco tours of the Tarkine rainforests, seal cruises and Tasmanian Devil spotting.

We also own Ye Olde Chocolate Shoppe and The Swingin' Anchor Cafe at No. 4 Church Street. The chocolate shop is an old fashioned traditional chocolate and icecream shop, specialising in many Tasmanian varieties of fudges, chocolates and boiled sweets, as well as delicious Tasmanian made Valhalla icecream and sorbets. At our cafe, we offer a great breakfast menu, and specialise in Tasmanian scallops, making our own Tasmanian curried scallop pies, our award winning scallop fritters, as well as light meals to suit all palates. We serve Grinders coffee, traditional iced coffee and iced chocolates, Tasmanian Cascade traditional sparkling drinks and fresh juices.
