Description

The Villa Port Douglas is one of the best 3 bedroom villas in Port Douglas, one of the world's finest holiday destinations.

It is a luxurious, peaceful environment in which to explore, relax and rejuvenate. It is great for couples looking for a romantic getaway or honeymoon, families escaping to the year round warmth and excitement of the tropical north or groups of friends (up to 6 people) looking to share the cost of a fantastic luxury holiday and to enjoy each others company in a relaxed and spectacular environment.

The superior level of furnishings and generous personal space, not commonly found in typical holiday accommodation, ensures The Villa Port Douglas will meet your expectations of total comfort and enjoyment for either a short stay or an extended holiday of weeks or even months.

Set in a very private, secure and spacious property on over 2 1/2 acres of lush tropical gardens, The Villa Port Douglas is one of only 13 exclusive privately owned luxury villas in the complex.

It is just a short walk (500 metres or 5 minutes) from the famous Four Mile Beach and less than 5 minutes drive (or local bus) from the village centre and boating marina.

Our highly competitive rates and great discounts are always published for all to see. Seasonal discounts, length of stay discounts and last minute discounts can add up to over 50% if you are flexible with your holiday timing. Our unique Australian School Holiday Discounts always provide discounts from 20-36% for families looking for great value during their limited holiday times.

To help your holiday dollar go even further we also offer "freebies" from time to time. This is done to fill in vacant dates that we want to highlight and sell. Check our specials for any current offerings or ask when you make a booking or inquiry.

Before or during your stay we are always happy to provide advice and assistance to help make your stay as care free as possible. We can assist with tours, transport, dining options or personal services such as an in-house chef, a babysitter, spa treatments, shopping and many others. We provide this advice free of charge.

And finally we want you to feel special the minute you arrive so we meet you personally and show you around. You will also find a cold bottle of bubbles in the fridge and the fruit bowl overflowing with tropical fruit on your arrival.

The Villa Facilities

With 320 sq metres of private indoor and outdoor living areas (more than three times the size of most holiday apartments), as well as 2 1/2 acres of lush tropical gardens and facilities, The Villa Port Douglas is one of the largest villas in Port Douglas, providing unparalleled space, peace and privacy.

It is fully furnished with quality furniture, fittings and fixtures throughout.

The open plan downstairs area has a large lounge, dining room and gourmet kitchen opening onto a private covered courtyard with a bbq/oven, a second dining and entertaining area, and a fantastic 6 person spa set in private tropical gardens.

On the entertainment front there is a 108cm plasma Digital TV and DVD player. Austar satellite TV is installed (with 2 decoders, one in the lounge and the other serving the 3 bedrooms), as is free wireless (and wired) broadband (bring your own lap top, there is no PC on site).

There are many DVDs, games and books provided to suit all ages and interests when some down-time is preferred.

The gourmet kitchen is also well set up to cook up a storm. Apart from all the normal appliances, there is a blender, a juicer and a coffee machine to look after all your liquid refreshments. A range of condiments and cleaning supplies are also supplied so you don't have to buy all these or go without.

There is a downstairs powder room servicing the living areas and of course there are full laundry facilities with washer and dryer if you like to pack light.

Upstairs there are 3 large bedrooms disposed as a king, a queen and a double king-single (can be made up as two king singles or another king).

Each bedrooms has its own private en-suite bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, balcony overlooking the lush tropical gardens, TV (with Austar), air-conditioning and ceiling fans.

One en-suite bathroom has a spa bath and shower, another has a bath and shower and the third has a shower.

Quality bed linen, bath towels, pool/beach towels and personal amenities are provided for all guests.

A lock up garage and a second off street parking space are available for your exclusive use.

In the common grounds of the complex there is a tennis court, two pools (one a 20 metre lap pool) and a bbq /entertaining pavilion in luxurious tropical gardens. We have sun lounges, pool toys, tennis racquets and balls for your use.

Being one of only 13 units in the privately held group, with over 2 1/2 acres of common grounds, your comfort, privacy and enjoyment will not be compromised by over crowded, noisy accommodations with little or no access to these facilities. In fact most of the time, you will probably have them all to yourself.

Things to See and Do In and Around Port Douglas

If you've been to Port Douglas before you'll remember how you felt when you had to leave and hadn't seen or done all the things you wanted to in the time you had allowed. If you haven't been before, please don't make the same mistake and think you can "do it" in a few days.

The must do's include the outer Great Barrier Reef, the Daintree Rainforest and the Atherton Tablelands (each at least a full day and often more), Mossman Gorge, The Wildlife Habitat and Hartley's Crocodile Adeventure (each at least half a day).

Then there's shopping, dining, Four Mile Beach, fishing, whale watching (in season), golf, jungle surfing, Skyrail, sky diving, wind surfing, hot air ballooning, bush / jungle walks or bike rides, sea kayaking, arts and craft galleries, indigenous cultural experiences and much, much more.

Oh, and don't forget a little relaxation by the pool or in a local bar overlooking the inlet watching the tour boats come and go or a sunset walk along Four Mile Beach or celebrity spotting in the many bars and restaurants in this "sleepy fishing village" called Port Douglas.

There is absolutely no shortage of great things to see and do in this internationally famous dual World Heritage Area, no matter what your interests are and no matter what time of the year it is. Our year round tropical climate means there is no closed season and no "best time" to come. Its always great.

But unless you're like us (who came for a holiday and stayed a lifetime) you will have to return home at some point, even if it's just to save up for your next visit. So please spend as much time as you can to avoid the disappointment of going home before you've at least seen and done the essentials.

  • "This was a fantastic place to stay. Very roomy, great setting, a real touch of luxury. The champagne and fruit on arrival was a lovely touch after a long flight. Spa, pools, BBQ, biggest beds on the planet, who could ask for more. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thanks Christine. "

  • "A great holiday house. The owner welcomed us and showed us around she was extremely friendly. Great amenities, "like home from home" which included a welcoming fruit basket and lovely bottle of fizz. Our daughters loved the pool area, spa, Austar, having there own rooms, TV and plenty of games/books. "

  • "The villa and grounds were excellent. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, extra items like olive oil etc. were appreciated. Bedrooms were all spacious with excellent ensuite bathrooms. We enjoyed the open main floor layout and outdoor dining area. The generous selection of DVDs and CDs was a bonus. Lots of useful information about the neighbourhood was provided. Christine was very helpful. Highly recommended."

  • "AWESOME, you have to stay here! Absolutely everything has been thought of, and Christine (the owner) is the most wonderful help whilst you are staying here. It's gorgeous, relaxing, really special. the location is fabulous, the pool gorgeous - it felt like our own 95% of the time, and then we met some really nice people. The house is truly wonderful (and we are critical guests) - I even much to my family's amusement had to video the dishwasher opening as its such fun! Really special place, great location, lucky YOU!"

  • "This is the most awesome villa, from our arrival to our departure it felt like we were in heaven! Christine has not only thought of everything you are ever likely to need, she genuinely cared about the quality of our holiday and did EVERYTHING (and more!) that she could to make it an outstanding holiday for us. We had the best time, and are hoping to go back very soon. Some of the things that impressed us - the cleanliness of the villa, the home from home facilities - to the sugar in the cupboard, to the tv controls, the file of information for people staying, the thoughtfulness of the kitchen - both in layout as well as equipment (we love cooking!, the ease in which we settled in and made it our home, the excellent quality of all the fixtures and fittings - just everything. We couldn't have faulted it - even if we had tried to! In fact I really wished I had taken my slippers it felt so much like home! Finally to Christine who is an outstanding host and landlady - her care and attention were remarkable. From meeting us and taking us through the estate to the villa to helping us with tours and great meals (do go to the Salsa bar for dinner ;-D). I wish there had been and was a Christine at every venue we stayed in!"

  • "We've just had a wonderful 5 weeks at The Villa. Wonderful service, the villa was well appointed. We felt instantly comfortable and wanted for nothing. Thank yo for an absolutely fabulous holiday. We were able to enjoy our time in Port Douglas without feeling we needed to take a second mortgage on a home to pay for it. Finally a quality place to stay at reasonable prices."
