  • "Unfortunately the weather had a negative effect on the weekend. The accommodation was great and we would stay there again."

  • "We stayed in the beech tree cabin over a cold, wet Christmas but had a great time with the log fire burning away in the background. Wattle Gully is ideal for families with small children. There was chicken coop down in the gully providing fresh eggs for breakfast. Our cabin looked out over bushland with some goats grazing right in front. We were able to feed Kookaburras and bush turkeys from the veranda. The cabins are quiet and private. The only time we saw any other guests was when we were coming or going along the gravel road leading to our cabin. The cabins are kept in excellent order. The beds were warm and cozy. The self-contained kitchen was well equipped. We stocked up the fridge for the four days we were there from the local IGA. Maleny is less than 10 minutes away. Monteville (well worth a visit) is about 20 minutes away. There is an amazing waterfall at the Mapleton Falls National Park (30-40 minutes away)"

  • "We enjoyed a 'mum and daughter' weekend at Wattle Gully Retreat. Although the horse-based activities had to be restricted due to equine influenza, this did not bother us as we really just wanted a cosy cottage base where we could enjoy nature, a fire, hot chocolate, comfy beds, and exploring the nearby towns of Maleny and Montville. The cottage we stayed in was just right for us with a bit of the old rustic charm. Slightly alarmed by a couple of assertive geese near the creek crossing, but this gave us a touch of adventure and we had a laugh about it."
