Wildwood is an hour's drive north of Sydney nestled in a rainforest canopy in a National Trust listed community, Pearl Beach.
The cottage has twice been featured on the cover of Better Homes and Gardens magazine.
Amanda Hooten from The Sydney Morning Herald's Good Weekend Magazine described Wildwood as ..."a beautifully appointed beach house with dishwasher, microwave and two wood-burning fires...in fact there is nothing to be wished for." (Sydney Morning Herald, October 27, 2001 Annual Weekend Away Guide).
Wildwood becomes your very own private three bedroom hideaway that's a three minute walk to a secluded beach cove with unspoiled sand and calm tranquil waters.
The cottage has three generous sized bedrooms, containing two queen beds and a single bed. The master bedroom has an open fireplace and a complimentary basket of wood. There's another slow combustion fire in the lounge room.
All rooms are spacious, have loads of natural lighting and all open onto the timber decks. The beds have feather-down doonas.
Set deep amongst the rainforest canopy, this private and tastefully renovated hideaway sleeps 5 guests: (note: the third bedroom is fairly small and is best suited for a child).
Built in the 1940s, "Wildwood" sits well back on a 1900 sq. metre block (half an acre). At night, you can hear the ocean from Wildwood.
The beach is only a few minutes walk away, where you will find a calm ocean rolling onto a cove of unspoiled sand - the perfect place for relaxing with a good book as well as being a protected place for the children.
Or if you want a take a few laps, the rock pool is just the answer. Built in the early 1930's, this 25 metre ocean water pool is a perfect spot for 'time alone'.
The outdoor area is nestled among the trees - it's ideal for total escapism. The rear deck is very private, looking into the gardens and bush that Pearl Beach is renowned for.
The sunny northerly aspect of the rear deck hosts a large modern BBQ and teak timber outdoor setting. In the former prize winning gardens, you'll find a hammock for those who wish to get away from it all to siesta under the trees.
Alternatively, escape to the cool comforts of the south deck and read a complimentary magazine.
Listen to music, cook up a storm in the well equipped kitchen, go for a walk, play tennis, swim in the ocean pool, sip on a latte, read the paper, watch a movie or just sleep in at Wildwood.

BYO: linen (sheets, pillow cases, towels, tea and handtowels)
BYO: own paper products eg loo paper, servietttes, paper hand towels etc.
BYO: beach umbrella
Please note: there is no bath.
Please go to Wildwood's very own website () for more info and a suggested list of what to bring to ensure you have a wonderful stay.
Please note: NO pets (even those well behaved, cute, adorable, potty trained et al!) are permitted at Wildwood.
Please note: Wildwood is not suitable for children under 5.
Wildwood is in a bush setting - hence the name! It is quiet and secluded and set well back from the road on half an acre.
It's why many people love staying and keep coming back, BUT, please be advised that the surrounding trees do play major havoc with the TV reception (Wildwood is not alone on that matter!).
So if you are keen to watch free-to-air TV, Wildwood is not suitable for you. On many days, there is NO tv reception - on a good day, there is one or two channels but ABC and SBS are usually "snow storms"....
There is a DVD and VHS player (and a handful of DVD's/videos to get you started) and a CD player to make up for the unreliable TV reception.
Enjoy!
