Description

Private, quiet 2 storey 2 bedroom townhouse, over the road from the Fannie Bay foreshore, Gecko Beach is perfect for holidays or business or as a temporary home for people resettling in Darwin. The apartment, in a small block in a premium location, is set in a park with ancient banyan trees and huge mahoganies, contributing to the sense of simple tranquility. Polished cypress floorboards upstairs provide a rich foreground to views over the Fannie Bay cliffs and Mindil Beach.

Gecko Beach is designed to be self-sufficient. It is fully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, television, DVD and sound system, and all linen supplied. There is a queen size bed in the main bedroom, a double in the second bedroom. Wireless broadband is on line at no extra charge. The apartment is airconditioned in all rooms and has been recently renovated for your comfort, with new furniture and fittings. There is off-street undercover parking if you are driving. Walk in with your suitcase, and make yourself at home!

Location, location, location!

The location is perfect. The beach and Darwin’s fabulous sunsets are at your door, literally over the road. Lake Alexander is a five minute walk away. The Fannie Bay café, restaurant and shopping precinct is on the next block. Premium tourist sites like the notorious Fannie Bay Gaol, the Military Museum and the Mindil Beach and Parap Markets are in easy walking distance. And Fannie Bay Racecourse - if you are in town for the Cup, you can forget about trying to get a taxi – just walk there! For further destinations, a bus stops right outside the door, putting you in the city within minutes.

Gecko Beach is close to the centre of things, without the noise and traffic of the city and Nightcliff. We guarantee that you won’t find a more gorgeous mix of Darwin’s city life and its natural attractions, or such a cute and funky little townhouse, anywhere.

  • "Great location, clean, well equipped. Bathroom needed more bench space and cupboards and "garden/outlook" from the loungeroom needs to be tidied up. "
    Christopher, September 2008

  • "A lovely place to stay but extra towels would be great as well as a hair dryer. The entry doors need to have floor latches replaced as they are very difficult to shift in order to open the doors."
    Anita, August 2008

  • "This place is amazing. It had everything we needed not to mention its cleanliness. Views were spectacular and being a Cyclone Tracy victim, the thing that impressed me most was the cyclone kits which were provided. Definately will be staying there again!"
