Hollybush cottage offers Families a welcoming escape in a popular country environment full of native wildlife where pets are welcome. The cottage is only 5 mins drive from Woodend Village.
The cost of the cottage is $240 per night for up to 4 people then it is an extra $40 per adult or $35 per child (under 12 years) per night.
The cottage has 2 double bedrooms and 1 children's bunk room that sleeps 4. A colourful KIDS ONLY playroom adjoins the children's room upstairs. All the necessary kitchen utensils for 8 guests as well as linen and tea and coffee making facilities are provided.
Several living areas and a wood fire make the cottage ideal for large groups with a separate bathroom and toilet. A plasma TV and WII console, board and WII games are great to keep the little and big kids amused.
A generous fenced in area with a large verandah, sand pit, climbing frame & basketball net as well as BBQ facilities are at the rear of the cottage. The Cottage and Homestead are fenced off within approx 1 acre to contain all but the most determined of pets.
All Guests (and pets) are welcome to roam around the entire fenced in area and Guests are also welcome to explore the entire property even when the other house is occupied. We ask you to please make yourselves at home.
As the chook shed sits near the cottage, when the chooks are laying guests are most welcome to collect the eggs. Guests are also welcome to help themselves to the herbs and vegetables when available in the garden beds that sit behind the cottage.
For those that feel energetic the roads around the cottage are fantastic for walking or riding. Two Trailglide bikes are available for hire, one 20 inch man & one 18 inch women's bikes available for $15 per bike per day.
We are proud to say that Hollybush Cottage has been judged a finalist in the Excellence in Accommodation Category of the Macedon Ranges Business Excellence Awards 2007.
Winery Tours can be arranged with the Victorian Winery Tours. The tour is a full day of visiting the wineries of the Macedon Ranges with lunch in one of the wineries. The tour guide picks you up and drops you off at Hollybush Cottage at a cost of $125 per person.
You are asked to give me your preferences of days when booking your accommodation and I will attempt to make satisfactory arrangements.
The Winery Tour is paid for when paying the accommodation costs of Hollybush Cottage.
The beautiful Trentham golf course is one of the many wonderful courses in the region, it offers guests staying at Hollybush Cottage any day of the week a huge reduction in green fees, 18 holes for $12 and 9 holes for $10.
Horse owners are welcome to bring their horse and put it on adjistment next door for $10 a night while staying in hollybush Cottage, just bring your own hard feed.
The owner Jennifer is an EFA judge and riding instructor and is happy to give lessons at $45 an hour in her dressage arena. Beginners are welcome with their own horse however 7 years is a minimum age for children.
If having riding lessons is not your thing then riding through the rain forrest up on Mount Macedon might be an attractive alternative.
