Location

Situated at the beginning of The Esplanade, The Wheelhouse is a true beach shack. 20 paces to stunning Foxs Beach and 100m from Robes premier swimming and surfing beach Long Beach. Enjoy seclusion and privacy with your beach front position and an ocean view of 180 degrees of Guichen Bay. Walk in to the heart of Robe along the walking track which will delight you with it's views and abundance of birds and dolphins plus the occasional whale. The track is a formal walking track and is easy on bikes and prams as well.
Great fishing base as well with excellent surf fishing available at Long Beach and line fishing at the mouth of the inland lakes.
The Wheelhouse faces north and really soaks up the beautiful winter sun, the front windows pull the ocean inside and make for perfect time wasting views. The deck is protected from the prevailing SE winds and can be enjoyed all year round.

The owners of Happyshack have been residents of Robe for countless generations (the last four are still ambling around, the rest lie in peace in our beautiful, historic and fascinating Robe cemetery). We have current generations of family in the town running and working local businesses, on the land farming magnificent lamb and beef, in the vines at Mount Benson making succulent reds and crisp whites and on the boats bringing in their quota of fresh crayfish. If you haven’t guessed by now, we love Robe, we love its serenity, its fusion of history and modern comforts, it’s people and it’s sense of community. Its home to us and we’d like to impart a little of that sense of belonging to you – our guest at Happyshack.

7night Minimum stay is required in the summer Dec/Jan school holidays. All public holiday are based on high season and a 3night minimum stay is required. A one night stay during shoulder and low season can be requested at a premium - please send your inquiry through for a costing.
