Picture yourself in a sea villa on Italy's Amalfi Coast - but wait, you are only one hour from Sydney!
2 bathrooms : 3 bedrooms plus 3 divans
accommodates 9 guests
Moonya, an Indigenous word meaning 'safe retreat', sits among the trees on the cliff side at Cabbage Tree Point, Bundeena, with a view across the water to Buraneer Bay.
Anchor your yacht at the base of this home, and use it as your regular weekend retreat from the smoke and grime of the city.
Or drive one hour through the Royal National Park , or take the train to Cronulla and a ferry across the Port Hacking River to Bundeena.
Once at Moonya, kick back on the terrace, and watch the ever changing sea vista, serenaded by the native birds perched in gum trees scattered throughout the garden. These trees have exquisite orange trunks and grey green leaves, colours that are reflected in the cool, natural fabrics of the rooms. Walk down the steps to swim in the sea and use the beach shower on the way back up to the house.
The three bedrooms are themed: upstairs there is a Colonial Room and a Japanese room. The master bedroom and ensuite downstairs have an Indian theme. Enormous windows open out onto the garden with fabulous views of the sea.
