Description

Luxurious accommodation 50 metres from the ocean located at Gerroa, less than two hours south of Sydney. Oceanzedge has everything for the discerning holiday maker. This magnificent home sleeps 8 and can easily accommodate two families. The house has uninterrupted views of the Pacific and two very large decks that are perfect for those lazy summer days and watching dolphins frolicking in the surf. It is the perfect house for winter accommodation with a stunning gasfire place. You can be cosy and warm indoors watching the wild surf pounding the shoreline. In September to November see whales migrating south.

The property was purpose designed and finished with high end designer furniture and quality fittings specifically for holiday accommodation. One of Sydney’s most accomplished and sought after designers oversaw the entire project from concept to completion in January 2007. Oceanzedge was profiled in Dec 2007 issue of House & Garden magazine and recommended in the April/May 2008 edition of Vogue Entertaining & Travel magazine.

Activities

From the deck, you walk down the stairs, across the lawn and down to the rocky Shelly Beach which is wonderful for walking and exploring. It leads around to the headland. There are shells to collect, fossils to hunt for and many rock pools with micro environments to explore.

The calm Seven Mile Beach is 500m away on the southern side of Black Head. It is a beautiful beach for walking and an ideal swimming beach for young children. For surfing enthusiasts, Werri Beach is 4kms away at Gerringong. There is also a beautiful rock pool at Gerringong Boat Harbour.

In winter you can visit local wineries, go bushwalking, explore Berry and its specialty shops, visit Kiama with its famous blow hole, visit Minamurra Falls National Park with its rain forest walks, head into the hinterland to discover Saddleback Mountain lookout or the Carrington Falls which spill into the Kangaroo Valley.

Gerroa has a small general store and the award winning Seahaven Café. It is casual but has very good food and coffee (reservations for dinner recommended). Try your luck at the Fisherman’s Club (the Fisho’s) or be distracted by its panoramic view.

Play golf on the local 9 hole course and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

If you have small children there is a playground beside Crooked River. Children love to try fishing in the river, enthusiasts prefer Black Head platform.

Gerringong is less than 5 kilometers away and has numerous restaurants, delis and cafes. Visit the enormous surf store or one of the many specialty shops. You can find all the essential facilities including a large supermarket. Gerringong has good tennis courts. Fantastic property with everything you could want for your stay. It rained the whole time we were there, but it didn't matter with the gorgeous views and roaring fire!
Would love to visit when it's warmer to make use of the balconies and sun chairs.
Highly recommended.

Everything about the house was wonderful - a magnificent location, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen and enough space for everyone to relax!

The house is spectacular, nothing beats waking up to the sound of waves against the shore. It's well laid out with all the mod cons - we enjoyed a weekend with 8 adults and there was ample room for us all to be comfortable.

What a sensational place! Amazing location, brilliant uninterrupted views and oh-so relaxing. A wonderful stay spent with great friends, overlooking the ocean. A few champagnes and the stress just melted away. We haven't stopped talking about what a great weekend we had and we can't wait to return.
