  • "We really enjoyed our long weekend stay. House was really warm with everything supplied. The house is furnished well with good appointments and large living areas. The property was very clean and had everything we required. Will certainly stay again."

  • "My extended family and myself stayed In Arbuthnot Cottage for 2 nights while visiting the area for a wedding. It is a lovely cottage - as described or even better! Comfortable, cosy, and tastefully decorated. If we have any reason to come to this area again , we will be back. Thanks Jeanne for being so accommodating to our family."

  • "Thankyou for our lovely weekend at Arbuthnot Cottage. It is such a pretty, peaceful and comfortable cottage with plenty of space. The weather was very hot and our boys were delighted to find they could swim in the river and everyone we met was so friendly.we had a really relaxing break. "

  • "Well appointed, compares very favourably with other places we have stayed at. "

  • "Arbuthnot cottage was a pleasant surprise which made our stay very comfortable. The tastfully renovated cottage was made complete with the beautiful gardens and BBQ area where our 2 grandsons could safely play. "

  • "The purpose of our family's stay - a family reunion based on the Millar ownership of nearby 'Sunnyside' for 100 years - was made more pleasant because we had such a lovely 'homely' place in which to base ourselves. A home away from home, and a surprise in the middle of 'old' Koondrook."
    Barry, April 2008

  • "The house and gardens were beautifully maintained. For a family of 5 (3 boys) there was sufficient room for all of us, where the boys could be in one part of the house and as a mother I could be in another part having some quite time. The outdoor BBQ was well utilised and a nice place to sit. In the morning the sunny garden was a lovely place to have your breakfast. The only down fall of the house was that we needed lights on inside during the day. We loved the area (close to lots of fishing spots) and house and will definitely stay again. "
    Helen, December 2007

  • "Beautifully decorated and welcoming home located a short stroll from the mighty Murray - peaceful surrounds and friendly locals. Heaps of room to accommodate lots of family or friends, but equally as good for a romantic getaway. If it gets too hot, you can stay comfortably hide away inside with the aircon and ceiling fans to read, play games or watch dvd's. Outside is a great setting for bbq's (breakfast, lunch and dinner!) with enough room to set up a game of backyard cricket. Or if you wander into town, make sure you cross over the bridge into Barham and stop off at the first pub on the NSW side to catch an amazing view of the sunset over the river. Highly recommended!"
