Description

SSSShhh! ------- You can hear the silence. Sea Change at Sisters Beach is situated on almost an acre of unspoiled natural bushland featuring towering gums, unique stands of Banksia Serata and Man Ferns. A track winding through this natural beauty leads you to Sisters Creek which is on the boundary of the property. At dusk sit by the babbling creek and be one of the few lucky enough to see a platypus in its natural environment. It's so quiet you could be the only person on earth.

And all this is only a 5 minute walk from the majestic beauty of the surf and white sands of the. stunning beach. Stand next to where Sisters Creek enters the sea and have magnificent views of Rocky Cape and Sisters Island.

Your on-site hosts Rhonda and Kevin Bradmore will ensure you enjoy your stay in the comfortably furnished, open planned one bedroom unit with all the luxuries of home. The unit looks out over its private natural garden featuring many varietaries of banksia, grevillia and kangaroo paws. From your garden chairs you will see wallabies, possums, bandicoots and wombats which visit nightly. Wake to the sound of the kookaburras (if you miss them in the morning you'll hear them again as they signal the last light of the day) and be amazed by the yellow-tailed black cockatoos which feed on the banksia serata pods.

Sisters Beach is a secluded beach-side village located 8 kilometres off the Bass Highway and surrounded by Rocky Cape National Park. It is only 15 minutes from Wynyard the home of Burnie Airport which has daily direct flights from Melbourne. Pick-ups and returns from the airport can be arranged if you wish. We mention the silence-----your mobile phones will not ring at Sea Change so you can be assured of a complete break away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. If you do need to make a call you'll have to go to the boat ramp situated at the end of the beach.

Tasmanians have kept this haven secret. Now is your chance to enjoy all that nature has to offer-----bushwalking, walks along the deserted beaches, fishing, surfing or just "chilling out" with a good book from the extensive library in your unit.

  • "We stayed at Seachange for two weeks and found it very easy to drop into holiday mode quite quickly becoming delightfully lazy and thoroughly enjoying the gardens, close beach and solitude. The place has the feel of a bunker where you can escape the real world, living directly under the obliging and friendly hosts with their gorgeous two dogs who would pay us a visit from time to time for a pat. We enjoyed sitting on the daybed outside and reading, watching the native birds and wallabies going about their business, and with just a short stroll down the hill to the river we had a look a few times for the elusive platypus but he was on holiday as well. The house is well supplied with everything you need, and hosts Kevin and Rhonda are just a hoy away for anything else. We borrowed a cake tin as it was my partner's birthday. The spacious house is surrounded by thick and beautiful gardens, giving it a private and dim ambience. The only issue we encountered was the bed, which was a bit NQR. Ripper spot, great place to base ourselves for a lazy relaxing holiday and looking forward to seeing more of Tassie in the future. "

  • "What a great place to stay. The accommodation was fantastic and great attention paid to detail making it very friendly and with all the comforts of home, the beautiful rainforest setting was stunning and the DVD's, and books were great, especially on a rainy winters night (as was the port) - VERY welcome. Great place, great price - just beautiful - thanks a great start to our Tassie holiday and hard to beat. Would recommend it highly. Great value for money."
