THE HOUSE

Valley Vista is a beautiful spacious fully equipped 3 bedroom house overlooking the Kanimbla Valley. It is ideal for couples or a family, (and there will be a bottle of wine waitinfg for you).

Upstairs there is a large lounge room, a fully equipped kitchen, adjacent dining room and full width deck.

The large lounge room is nicely decorated and furnished. It is a great place to watch TV, or a DVD, read one of the hundreds of books on the shelves, or just enjoy the view. Even if it is cold weather, you will be warm with the gas heater or slow-combustion stove, and in warm weather there is an overhead fan.

If your idea of a relaxing break includes gourmet cooking, then you will find all the utensils you need for the electric oven or gas cook-top. If relaxing means minimum cooking, then you will make good use of the microwave oven and the dishwasher.

There will also be some handy odds and ends to get you started, such as; coffee and tea, cooking oil, sugar, flour, cling wrap, etc.

The dining room adjoins the kitchen and has a dining suite for eight. It opens onto the deck with its outdoor furniture.

Downstairs there are three bedrooms - two with queen beds, one with twin beds, two bathrooms, two toilets, family room with games and pool table, laundry and another full-width deck.

All the bedrooms have lovely fresh linen and your choice of blankets or duvets, and in the cooler months there are electric blankets and heaters.

There is also a child's cot, but you will need to bring bedding.

The main bedroom has very nice en-suite bathroom whilst the other bedrooms share the spacious main bathroom (with shower and spar bath) and separate toilet. Both bathrooms have overhead heating, heated towel rails, hair dryer and selected toiletries.

WONDERFUL SURROUNDINGS

The house has lovely views over the Kanimbla Valley from the lounge room, kitchen, dining room, main bedroom, family room, and of course the two full-width decks.

Experience the magic of watching mist rising from the valley while you enjoy a morning lie-in. Have a relaxing lunch on the deck and watch the activities on the farms below, or have a peaceful dinner to a backdrop of a beautiful sunset.

If you are fairly quiet you may see kangaroos, rabbits or lyre birds in the back yard. We'll leave you some bird seed which may tempt the sulphur-crested cockatoos, king parrots, bower birds and pied currawongs. Some of the native trees are a real favourite with the yellow-tailed black cockatoos and crimson rosellas.

FURTHER AFIELD

Just below Valley Vista is the Henry Lawson Walk, and nearby are Sunset Rock, Engineers Cascade, Mt Piddington, and the highest point in the mountains, One Tree Hill.

Also within an easy walk is the village of Mt Victoria with its quaint shops, the Imperial Hotel which serves pub food in its 19th century dining room), the Railway Museum at Mt Victoria station, and the well known Mt Vic Flics.

The historical Mt York and the shops and cafes of Blackheath are only a short drive away.

Valley Vista is a great starting point for day trips to Jenolan Caves, Mt Wilson, or the Zig-zag Railway.
