With spectacular views from the two balconies overlooking the Lower Murray and countryside, it is ideal for separate entertaining yet offering areas for quiet personal space.
Island Retreat Layout
Downstairs has one bedroom with a double bed, bathroom and toilet, open lounge,dining table with 6 chairs, and a fully self contained kitchen. There is underfloor heating, if required. Reverse cycle A/C.
Upstairs is carpeted with 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen size beds, with the third bedroom a single bed and a bunk bed (double and single). A double futon in lounge area.
There is a bathroom/toilet, a table with eight chairs and a lounge area. Reverse cycle A/C.
All the bedding, linen, towels, tea towels supplied.Extra blankets and pillows are available.
All cooking utensils,plates,cups, cutlery and washing liquids etc supplied, plus a portable gas BBQ.
Locations And Attractions
Island Retreat is 85 kms south of Adelaide. It is located on the northside of Hindmarsh Island, only 5kms from the lovely town of Goolwa which has fortnightly markets, river cruises and other local activities.
From the island, visit the Murray mouth and try some fishing at Sugars Beach which can produce mullet,bream, salmon trout and mulloway.
A short drive on the Fleurieu Peninsula will reach Middleton a popular surfing beach, then to Port Elliot and a scenic walk around Horseshoe Bay and to Victor Harbour, a popular seaside town.
