Description

Designed with pleasure in mind, this outstanding retreat set on 14 acres of private forest is the ideal adult getaway to relax and unwind with a few friends. Start your holiday with a complimentary bottle of local Margaret River wine and a massage.

Location

This stunning property is perfectly situated within a few minutes drive to beaches, wineries, and the town of Margaret River.

Features

The privacy and exclusiveness of this outstanding retreat becomes apparent as soon as you enter the property along the limestone driveway as it winds through a forest of redgums, jarrahs peppermints, grass trees and wildflowers.

A decked walkway bordered by a water feature directs guests through a courtyard to the entrance of the house. The living area is expansive and comprises a lounge and dining area divided by a double sided open fireplace. The dining area opens onto a fully equipped gourmet kitchen equipped with Miele appliances. A complimentary bottle of local Margaret River wine awaits you on the island bench. An eating nook at the end of the kitchen creates a cosy booth to enjoy the morning light and a freshly brewed coffee.

The dining table extends to seat 8 people and guests are encouraged to entertain. Throw a freshly caught snapper on the BBQ or create an amazing meal from the gourmet kitchen.

The house is smart-wired with feature lighting and surround sound to all rooms and out to the deck. Plug in your Ipod or throw on a cd and listen to the music from where ever you go in the house. Relax on the luxurious couch with classic movie while others can still enjoy the music elsewhere in the house.

As an adult’s only retreat the house accommodates a maximum of 4 people in two king-sized bedrooms. The two spacious bedrooms are in separate wings of the house, ensuring privacy for all. Both bedrooms have large ensuites overlooking the forest, and are equipped with underfloor heating and heated towel rails. The ensuite to the main bedroom has an enormous double-ended shower and an indoor/outdoor spa bath. The second bedroom opens up onto a deck and water feature.

The day bed in the reading room is a relaxing spot to read a book. The reading room is equipped with a desk and phone.

An expansive deck overlooks the forest and is a great place to enjoy a sundowner at the end of a leisurely day. Have a game of bocci on the lawn, but be prepared to share it with the local kangaroos.

Our mobile masseur is available on request to help you unwind into your stay. She offers a settling in massage of head, neck and shoulders ($50 for 45 minutes) or a full body massage ($60 for a full hour).

Guest Reviews

  • "This beautifully appointed property has all the benefits of being in the bush. Every position in this stunning home looks out into the bush, whether in the spa or having a lie in. The attention to detail in this glorious hide away is perfect if you want to get away from it all, or enjoy with another couple. After 5 days we wanted more...we will be back. Thank you for creating such a stunning environment"

  • "We regularly use short stay accommodation for week ends away. Selador would have to be one of the best. We loved the quiet bush location, the design of the home, and the generous facilities. I really liked the simple easy to follow user guide you created for all the equipment. It meant we could use the excellent facilities easily and conveniently. Brilliant - and highly recommended!"

  • "Highly recommended accommodation with regular visits by the kangeroos in the garden at night! A property not to be missed of staying in Margaret River."
