Description

Helen's on the Cove is set in a secluded bay of Port Stephens.We are surrounded by Eucalypts and Australian bushland which isolates us from the "maddening crowds" .
Easy access just 4 kms from the Pacific Highway and a 2hr trip by car from Sydney.
Close access to surfing beaches and the Myall Lakes, plus the delightful villages of Tea gardens ,Hawks Nest and Karuah which offer dining and entertainment facilities.
Hosts on site, privacy ensured.

Accomodation Description

Each bedroom has comfortable queen size beds, with own ensuite. You may sit in your room and enjoy tea & coffee with homemade treats or share with your hosts. Gourmet dinners are available upon request,

Pricing and Location

Helen's on the Cove is situated just 4 kms from the Pacific Highway travelling north towards Taree, and 10 kms from Village of Karuah.Only 20 minutes to Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest
We are close to the Hunter valley wineries, the Barrington Tops, Historic towns of Morpeth, Clarence Town and Paterson.
Easy day trips and just a short ferry trip to major centres

  • "My family had never holidaying in B&B as we were always seeking privacy and independency. So, here we are ��� bunch of Russians: 2 families with kids and grandma ��� staying at Helen���s house. Beautiful, modern, sparkling clean and tidy house; amazingly decorated rooms, million dollars view all around, peaceful location and waterfront ��� what else can you wish for relaxing weekend away? Helen and John are amazingly friendly and so happy to help and serve that we all felt as if we are Queens and Kings staying in their own summer residence. Helen even spend her time prior our arrival to search for Russian food recipes to make Russian style breakfast for us! How wonderful to soak sometimes in such a peace along our extremely busy and speedy society! Best wishes from Vasilevskiy and Karpukhin families."

  • "My family arrived a tad bit late at Helen's on the cove as my husband was working but being the perfect hosts that they are Helen and John gave us the most beautiful welcome and made us feel at home instantly. The house was beautiful & tastefully done. The view was breathtaking and you almost didn't want to go anywhere after you've had the most sumptous breakfast by Masterchef Helen. She is a brilliant cook... John was a good conversationalist and very funny. Both of them mingled with any age group and always gave us good tips on places to see around. On the whole we had a fantastic stay and this will indeed be a very memorable trip for me and my inlaws who were visting us from India. Keep up the good work Helen and John and thank you for making our stay such a lovely experience. I will definitely recommend this place to our family and friends and I for one will be back for sure.   • "Myself and my partner with our 18 month old chocolate lab have just spent 2 great nights at Helen���s B&B over New Year Eve. We tend to hire houses and not stay in B&B but this place is a little waterfront gem and I couldn���t recommend it more. As soon as you arrive Helen and John (our hosts) made us feel extremely welcome, like part of their family. Their rooms are bright and spacious with great views and excellent quality linen. It���s the little touches that make this place special, when you arrive there are homemade cakes (Helen is an amazing cook) and at night Helen leaves water and chocolates by your bed and the rooms are cleaned every morning. As I mentioned before Helen is a great cook, we are sad that we missed out on the opportunity to have Helen cook dinner for us. However we decided to have a quiet New year on the water front with some wine and Helen supplied us with a beautiful platter of cheese, chutney���s and some of her delicious hot snacks which was lovely. Breakfast is very tasty with choice of fresh fruit, cereal and hot I would recommend her scrambled eggs!! The great thing about this place is Helen and John if you want a quiet time they will give you the space you need, if you have any questions or want to do something they will go out of their way to help you and give you advice and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting down at breakfast and chatting with them. I will defiantly be back to stay . Thank you Helen and John for such a wonderful time and we look forward to seeing you both soon. Katie, Lee and Oscar!! "

This place is a little diamond tucked in the bush.It is one of the most restful places I have ever stayed,so dark and peaceful at night only the noise of the bush.The views in the morning make you want to stay forever.The hosts Helen and John what can I say but AMAZING!!! Helen is a wonderful hostess nothing is too much trouble providing aftersun lotion!betadine,comfort and birthday cakes! John ended up covered in mud helping the boys Kayaking,The food and company first class,we will be back!"

  • "This is the best guest house we ever stay! I will rate it as six star. It is waterfront and the rooms are very nice and well decorated. Each room has it own en suit. Both hosts are very warm and friendly. We are also very amazed by Helen's cooking. Helen took us out for a bush walk after the yummy breakfast. We really felt like hanging out with good friends. Nice accommodation, good food, good company, good fun, what else you can ask for? It was such memorable weekend. We will definitely come back again."
