Description

3 bed 1 bath beach cottage 60 SECS WALK TO BEACH.Take mugs of tea/glass of wine down to the sand dunes /beach and watch the sun go down. A very quiet and peaceful beach side property. Just the waves and the birds to hear most of the time. This is one the "closest to the beach" houses in this area. Prevelly is the small settlement where Margaret River opens into the Indian ocean. Margaret River Town is 10 mins drive inland.
Rennovated with family/young children or retirees in mind, very short walk to Prevelly village centre: bottle shop , general store and Sea Gardens cafe- restaurant. Or turn left on beach and walk down the shoreline to Gnarabup beach cafe (10mins slow walk!)..
Warm in winter (pot belly and forced air blower) and cool in summer. Beautiful and quiet, large north facing deck surrrounded by bird life. The house is close to nearby vineyards (Cullens, Leuwin, Cape Mentelle, Redgate Xanadu) and children's activities (e.g Animal Farm, swimming pool and Raptor park) are all within 20 min drive as it the town centre of Margaret River (10mins)
Alternatively cook and dine in, with the fully equipped luxury chefs kitchen..
Main break and Margaret River mouth are walkable in less in than 15 mins.
This is somewhere that you can park your car at the start of your stay and not need it again until you leave after your holiday...

Pets welcome within reason! The large back garden is enclosed by fencing with adequate shade to leave your dog safely.
Sorry the house will not be available in leavers week.
The "Weekend price" is a package for people wishing to stay 3 night f/s/s night only.
For children there are DVDs, a portacot, a toilet step, toys, a high chair, child locks ,potty, plastic mugs, infant swing and a child gate.

Preferred method of contact/enquiry is email or text which will be answered as soon as possible, thanks Pat

  • "Great for a short break.Shower room is small but adequate for duration of stay.Cosiness of the place made up for it ! Stone works at front room is amazing. May we suggest a better reception/aerial for the t.v. & a working remote for dvd player?"

  • "Our family had a beautiful tranquil week > We loved the ability to hear the ocean waves from the house and walk easily to the beach with the kids. The house was well equipped for our family and there was plenty of space in gardens for the kids and dog. > The kids (age 2 and 4yrs) aslo loved watching the birds in the bath out the front and the huge bean bag and hammock. > We are definitely coming back next year! > Nel "

  • "We had a very enjoyable short stay at Pat's Place. It is in a quiet location, and has pretty much everything we needed during our stay. Pat himself was accessible and thoughtful throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed and sending the house info via email straight away. Nothing is perfect, though, and we did have a few gripes, which may or may not be important to you.... The beach was further away than the description would suggest (i.e. zero km). Carrying two young children, it became a bit of a slog. No problem if you have only yourself to propel! The electrics are a bit temperamental, so I would take a torch if you are arriving in darkness. When we arrived, the outside light came on, then went off. The first thing we had to do was find the trip switch to turn the power back on again. The shower is getting on a bit....it really should be replaced... Some random plus points....the hammock on the verandah is really relaxing....the big LCD screen (and plenty of supplied DVDs) are in a nice cosy room for snuggling up when the kids are in bed....the provision for coffee lovers is great - lots of different types of coffee, lots of ways to make a great cup of coffee...the kitchen is nicely done....the family room contains the biggest bean bag in the world.... Overall, my abiding memories will be of a nice trip to a stunning part of the world. The house we stayed in didn't make a huge difference to our experience because we weren't there much. But when we were, it was adequate in pretty much all respects."
