We had an amazing time during our 7 night stay at the boat shed. A gorgeous beach shack with so much character, it was perfect for a relaxing getaway. With the beach practically on your back doorstep and town only a few minutes away, what more could you ask for! An absolute gem. We'll definitely be back!

This cosy comfortable "boatshed" had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The little extras such as cooking condiments, a few breakfast supplies, beach towels and bikes make all the difference. We slept so well in this tranquil setting. Just 200m from Tallows Beach and a short drive or bike ride into town. A morning bike ride along the beach and into town for breakfast is a must! The hosts are just lovely and should be proud of this little gem. We'll be back.

The Boatshed is an exceptionally well-designed cosy space in a great location. After scouring stayz.com and feeling uninspired by the plethora of soulless apartments on offer, we fortunately locked in the Boatshed for a long weekend stay. A lot of thought has obviously gone into making good use of the small space available. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the fridge was stocked with milk, beer and croissants (although we didn't get around to consuming these). Definitely a good option if you want some tranquility and warm hospitality.

Our stay in the Boatshed was both inviting and comfortable. The hosts welcoming way and fantastic help were most appreciated. Great location for beach walks every morning with lots of dolphins & whales to see and yet not far into town. A good retreat from the hustle and bustle in town even during school holidays, it had all we needed for a week of time out and surfing. We have a real desire to come back again, as we enjoyed our Byron experience so much.

Great for weekend break and wonderful to be so close to the beach. Loved the little extras that you dont get in a hotel that made our stay so enjoyable. Jason & Garrett

If you need a place to just stop and escape from the real world, this is definitely the place! Quiet, secluded and comfortable, the Boat Shed offers the chance to stop the clock for a while.
Close enough to town to not feel too disconnected, but far enough away from town that the only wildlife you will experience here are the turkeys, an opera of frogs at sunset and beautiful tropical butterflies! Oh, and the national park's resident echidna! If you like to fill your days with activity, you'll have no shortage of things to do here - from markets, to local artist performances, a range of sporting activities, great bars and restaurants, stunning beach and nature walks. Or if you wish to do nothing at all (like me) you can find many ways to do that too - meditate, read, practice yoga, swim, sunbathe, pamper at the day spa, watch the sunset from the beach, hone your photography skills...
The hosts are very welcoming, and have made every effort to provide you with all the comforts of home. In fact, you may just feel so blissfully comfortable that you might never want to leave!

If you're looking to get away from everything and enjoy nature, a quiet atmosphere, some thinking time, a gorgeous beach on your doorstep and generally be part of the local vibe (rather than the tourist vibe), then the boat shed is a perfect place to be... The hosts are fabulous at understanding your needs and answering any questions you may have, from when the local markets are, to nearby yoga instructors.
Think walks along Tallows Beach every morning, the native bush turkeys hanging out in the yard in the afternoon, retiring to the boat shed at night to read/write/research on the internet, listening to music, and generally having the space to just be...
