Blackheath and Surrounding Areas

Blackheath is a charming, friendly mountain village so far untouched by the bustling crowds drawn to the beauty of the Blue Mountains.

Blackheath, the highest part of the mountains experiences four beautiful seasons and each have their appeal: Winter for the occassional snowfall, Yulefest & cosy nights by the fire; Autumn for the beautiful red and yellow foliage;
Spring time brings an abundance of blooms from the famous rhododendrons & azaleas; and Summer is a refreshing escape from the heat.

Scenic walks are just footsteps away, enjoy the views of the Megalong Valley or Govett's Leap, which rival the famous nearby "Three Sisters" in their beauty. The whole of the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park is there for you to explore.

Blackheath has a number of quality restaurants and cafes, 2 have been awarded "chef's hats" in the Sydney Good Food Guide. Golfers can enjoy 18 holes at the picturesque Blackheath Golf Club just a 10 minute walk from the cottage.

Take a short drive and you can also experience other attractions such as the Zig Zag (steam) Railway, Megalong Valley and Jenolan Caves, or get adventurous with rock climbing and horseriding. Visit the nearby villages of Leura and Wentworth Falls for more galleries, antique stores, upmarket clothing boutiques, restaurants, cafes and walks.
