The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook for yourself ..if you are not lured out to the local restaurants!

TARIFFS
2 guests $195/n midweek; $290/n Fr, Sa
Extra $15/n for extra persons over the base 2 persons.

5 day minimum for bookings more than 2 months ahead. Shorter bookings Ok if adjacent to an existing booking. (To enquire about shorter bookings, pick an available 5 day stay on the calendar and explain your need in the booking remarks).

Easy payment by CREDIT CARD. 50% deposit if stay is 21 days away, otherwise full payment is required for confirmation.

ALTO SERVICES
All bookings include free internet, all bed linen, towels. There is fresh linen and complimentary weekly cleaning for stays longer than a week.
Portacot and high chair available at property free of charge. BYO cot linen.

MELBOURNE EVENT PRECINCT
Just a few minutes up Swan St on the tram, you are at the edge of the MCG, sporting icon of Australia, centred in green parklands beside the Yarra River. Adjacent is the Rod Laver Arena, site of the largest Tennis tournament in the world. Opposite is the brand new "Bubble Building": AAMI soccer and rugby stadium. The area is also buzzing with entertainment events year round.

A few minutes further on, and you are at Princes Gate, entry to downtown Melbourne if you want to shop.

Or if art is of interest, visit the Victorian Gallery just across the bridge, the largest in the southern hemisphere, but also do not miss the Potter Gallery the fabulous collection of indigenous art in the quirky Federation Square building, a unique maze of crazy glass and stone.
You can easily lose a day in Melbourne: cruise the Yarra, see the city from the observation deck, visit Victoria Market and enjoy the colourful restaurants lining Southbank on the river edge.

But also leave some time to discover Swan St in Richmond at your doorstep.

Everything is within a stroll. Breakfast in the cafes. Dine at the restaurants. "Torch" across the road in Swan St has the best coffee in

Melbourne (well, we think so). You can sit and eat breakfast while the world goes by: locals, visitors, the rumble of Melbourne trams. Get to

know Dan the friendly owner. Or venture in to one of the edgy cafes and have vodka with breakfast!

Up the hill there is a clutter of Greek restaurants. One called Agapi ("love" in Greek) is usually full for the obvious reason that its food is fabulous and you will find the waiters have an engaging comic irony. Grandma Funks next door has lurid retro colours and good cheap food. Back
closer to your house, Wild Oscars serves music with meals.

Choose one of Melbournes best pubs and clubs: "Public House", voted best pub in Melbourne, is just around the corner and there are another 5 to choose from, most with live music.

A Melbourne secret is Der Raum a dark modernist bar nearby with world awards for best bar.

The "Alto Richmond" was absolutely fantastic. All requirements needed were met. It was also a fabulous location, tram stop on the corner and a Coles Supermarket across from that. I would highly recommend it.
